Balanced Rock

Parking for the trail was easy to navigate to with the guidance of google maps and the maps along the trails in the area. The first part of this trail is a little steep and loose rocks along with leaves on the trail; makes it a little tricky when descending and even more tricky if you have dogs. Once you get past the steep section, the rest of the trail to balanced rock is pretty flat. Beautiful view from the top of the rocks. Worth the short hike.

My favorite sunset spot in town. Quiet and beautiful. And some great cardio getting up the hill! Fairly short hike, but kinda steep in the beginning.

Heck Yeah! My ten year old owned this trail, but she is in shape. We saw another family struggling. Bring water, fruit and the right shoes - not a place for your tennis / casual shoes or sneakers and soda pop.

Rocks are kinda cool. Nice hike to get to them.

Absolutely one of the best hikes in the Hot Springs National Park area. If you have only time for one hike, do yourself a favor and go for the Balanced Rock 🌲👍🙏

It is a very nice hike. Beautiful in the morning. When you come upon the balancing rock, you don't know it because you are basically on top of it. So when you get to the large rock formation go to the right of it and below it. Then you can look back and see the 2 rocks balancing on each other.

Had this recommended to us by one of the Park rangers in the visitor center. Get here a little before sunset and claim the one giant Boulder that has the best view, by far. One of the better sunset views I’ve seen!

Very beautiful! Definitely try to go right before a sunset. First part of trail is real steep and rocky, but after that its alot better.

The marker from the main trail is missing. If you see a signpost with no sign, turn! It is much easier to access from the Cedar Glades Road side than from the Blacksnake Road side, but the views are outstanding from the latter.

I love Hiking the mountains in Hot Springs it is close to downtown area and the View is absolutely Beautiful 🍁🍁🍁It was about a 3-4 mile hike
