I've used this Company for several years without a problem. Until now. I filed a claim for help over two weeks ago for a water heater leak. They dispatched two different companies, neither of which showed up. I get that: Covid has had an impact. But AHS has been virtually non responsive in solving this problem. They know when a contractor is going out to the job, so they know when the ARE NOT. AHS is not at all pro-active in solving a problem. And when I call the 800#, after 10+ minutes on hold, I get someone whos is often difficult to understand, and who tells me they are working on it. But with no specifics and says it has to be done via their “systems”. Dong bother asking for a supervisor. Took over 3 weeks to get someone out to do the work. Very frustrating. I cannot recommend them any longer.

I’ve had service with American Home Shield for three years. I called to report my tankless hot water heater leaking 14 days later they are still searching for a contractor in my area. I’ve called numerous plumbers all that will not work for them. Ask if I could pay for plumbing services on my own or replace my hot water heater and send them a bill just to be told that they would not cover it. No one has return my calls my claim has been expedited 11 days ago and still have not received a call. I pay 102.00 a month for nothing this is very frustrating!!

I will give this company a 0 star if I can. I have used them since 3/2017. All they do is take your money and charge you extra in order to send some incompetent technician out that will destroy your appliances instead of fixing it. Our dishwasher worked but the latch on the door is a little bit finicky so we called them on January 4. No show. By the 18th of January, Steven showed up and fixed the latch but created other problems. Now the whole dishwasher wasn't anchored (because he removed some screws) and so the whole dishwasher fall forward crushing the pipes. It leaked water down to the basement.

We called them back and Steven came back. Took one look and said it could not be fixed and left.

Scheduled another technician for tomorrow Feb 16. Let's see what kind of disasters will ensure here. This is not the first time AHS technicians come out and create problems. This is like the third time since 2017.

February 16, technician Terry showed up and said we need a new water pump. Will not be able to return until February 26, and he ordered the water pump.

Well, we got tired of waiting so we contacted an appliance company. Technician came out and within one hour and 15 minutes, the dishwasher is fixed. No water pump problem.

DO NOT USE THEM. CHEAPER TO PAY FOR SERVICES YOURSELF AND YOU WILL BE A LOT LESS FRUSTRATED. WE CANCELLED THE CONTRACT WITH THEM.

This company is terrible. I've used them for 4 years on multiple home and can tell you with confidence: it's not worth it. The coverage never goes far enough, the monthly premiums go up regularly, the customer service is HORRIBLE. They actually continued to charge me for a home we sold, even though we called to cancel, and have yet to refund the entire amount owed (even though they confirmed via email they owe the money). The customer service agents are reading a script and many are incredibly hard to understand as English is not their first language. It's sheer laziness that's kept me with AHS and I'm finally cutting ties. I strongly recommend you save yourself some frustration and look elsewhere.

I made a claim and paid $150 out of pocket to have them send me who the wanted. The AC repair company out of Pine bluff was horrible, didn’t show up for the appointment and when I called them she asked why I hadn’t called sooner even though they knew the repairmen weren’t coming. It’s not my responsibility to call and check on my repairman. After 3 more missed appointments, not joking, they finally showed up, had to come back the next day and a year later I’m still having AC issues and a high bill. So I made another claim through AHS, paid another $109 out of pocket. They try to send me the same company, I refused their service and asked for another contractor. They “elevated” my case and after a week still didn’t have a new contractor. I called to cancel everything, even my contract, they said they would refund me everything and send a cancellation email. 3 weeks later, no refund, no email, and I can’t get them on the phone! $700 is dollars wasted! I want me money back this is not ok! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!

I was an American Home Shield customer for almost three years. The only time I attempted to request service on my full time residence I was denied i payment of a covered part in my HVAC system. It cost me over $400 and I dropped coverage on two residences that I own. I would not recommend this company.

I’ve been without a/c for over a month! There’s a lot of miscommunication between the companies they send out. The representatives are nonchalant as well as the supervisors! This company is a ripoff!!! PLEASE BEWARE!

STILL NO ANSWER AFTER BEING ON HOLD MOST OF 2 DAYS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT PART OF THEIR CORPORATE VALUES

Awful customer service. Save your $600-$1000 per year and save yourself a stress. With that money you can buy yourself another refrigerator/dryer/washer. They hang up on you, they have glitches on their online system, they don't don't care besides getting your renewal.
