Americas Best Value Sandman Inn

Our room was surprisingly very clean for being pet friendly! No odor, hair, dust etc. The beds were VERY comfortable. They had a pillow top mattress and the pillows were soft but supportive. Breakfast was great for not having a "hot meal" option. They had jimmy dean microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, French toast, bagels, cold and hot cereal etc.

Hands down the best service and hospitality I have ever received! Our moving truck broke down a couple miles down the road, and at first we went to another hotel but they were sold out. That hotel referred us to this hotel, and they had 2 rooms with double beds to fit our moving party. The pool is open 24/7 and thankfully the kids were able to have a little fun while we were stranded. The next day they allowed us to do late check out as we were still waiting for Budget to get us the replacement moving truck. They allowed us to stay in the lobby and offered us access to the pool, as it was just us 2 ladies and 4 kids left stranded. It was over 100 degrees, and we really had no place to go. Their security guard also watched over us, as the replacement truck, tow trucks and moving company were getting us situated to hit the road. We finally left there at 9pm!! Thank you again for helping making the terrible situation a little less stressful!! We appreciate all the staff and management for allowing us to stay inside, with access to water, bathrooms ect as we were also traveling with a special needs child and a toddler. If we are ever in La Grande again this will be my 1st choice for a hotel!

Great for families that have furry family members with great price to stay rooms are clean restrooms are clean great an friendly staff so great full the Best Western across the street doesn’t allow animals an recommended this place saved me some money also, what a gem the pool an jacuzzi is open 24hours also. I will be back again when passing thru. Thank you so much! Also the room had the a/c on before I got in that was the best feeling not coming into a hot room after a long day of driving.

Really clean and nice place. Pool and hot tub open 24 hours. Big parking lot with lights and cameras everywhere so if you are hauling a trailer this is a great option for sure. Chris checked us in and he was so nice, friendly and several times said how they want to make sure our stay was great so if we needed anything to let him know. Truly a gem in the small town of LaGrande!!!

Extremely pleased every time I've stayed here and it's at least once every 3 months as I travel up to Idaho I have been very pleased with the cleanliness the service the size of the rooms and the meal that we were served in the morning. Extremely pleased with the reasonable rates. I would highly recommend this hotel to any weary traveler or someone who who wants a nice base stationwhwants a nice Base station for touring the local area.
I highly recommend you're stopping here you'll be pleased with all facets of service.

This is a two star hotel and keeping that in mind, I give it five stars! First, it is clean. It has some remodeling done; important things like the flooring in the rooms is wood styled laminate (no old gross carpet), the shower is now a one piece insert (no old moldy tile), and there is a real coffee pot (about a 4 cup’er) with three bags of caffeinated coffee! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 They still include a microwave and refrigerator (many roadside hotels have deleted these items).
Also, the staff was very friendly, they include breakfast and the hallway carpet has been replaced!

This place was great! The entire room was clean and comfortable. The staff was so friendly when I came in and when I checked out. The biggest thing is I left my wedding ring in my room. I was honestly not expecting to ever see it again. I might have been a little hysterical about it. The lady who answer my call handled it all so well and proffesional! I cant thank her enough!!!!

Make sure to call and talk to the front desk! I booked online w/ pets and it almost became an because they have limited pet rooms, and because it didnt calculate my room total right, which ended up in my travel card being declined. Thankfully, the front desk was AMAZING and very understanding about the mixup. We got our room, with our pet accommodation and worked it all out! The room and the pool were great, and the pool is open 24 hours! Because of this and the great service my family received, I'll be staying anytime I'm in town from now on. Thank you!!

Front staff was friendly, very helpful and hotel was very clean and updated. They are also pet friendly and affordable. Not to mention, they saved me and my son from a nightmare hotel down the street. I will forever be grateful to this place. If I ever go back to this area, this will be the only place I stay at. The professionals at America's Best Value, La Grande, OR, are nothing short of fantastic. From the front desk staff (Becky) to the wonderful ladies responsible for daily room maintenance and cleanliness, embody what top-shelf customer service is supposed to look and feel like. My family and I had an incident with the RV we rented for a vacation from CA up to ID, which subsequently left us stranded in the small, but awesomely friendly and polite community/people of La Grande, OR. We are a retired military family, which is another way of saying we've stayed in temporary accommodations all across the country and the extended world for 25+ years. I cannot say enough positive things about Becky's overall effectiveness in customer service, communication, professionalism, pragmatism and leadership - a consummate professional.

Note to executive leadership of Vantage Hospitality Group: As an expert in organizational leadership, I have evaluated personnel, procedures and processes of fortune 40 companies to the proverbial small mom and pop orgs. If not aware, Becky at your La Grande, OR site is exceptional in all categories that count the most when considering the customer/vendor relationship; highly recommended she be considered for billets of increased responsibilities. At a minimum, she should be considered as a corporate trainer. Truly impressive.

New mattress. Very clean. 1/2 the price as the best western next door. I don’t know why this place doesn’t have more stars.

The hotel looks to have been remodeled and was clean and neat during our stay. There is also a pool and spa which was kept up nicely was a definite bonus. Rooms were nice and everything worked which is unusual. Another bonus is being off the main road but still right next to restaurants and the local shopping center. Staff was also nice and pleasant to speak with when we needed them.

zero complaints. very accommodating for my 1.5 year old and I. I was annoyed that they stopped service coffee at 9am on the dot but hey if that's the only almost complaint that's pretty great. check in was easier and faster than any hotel I've stayed. I will definitely stay there next time we are in town.

This hotel was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable with nice, clean and new bedding. Continental breakfast is just cereal and donuts. There was a mini fridge in the room and a 24 hour pool. Staff was nice. Also dog friendly.

Stayed here with my family last night & had a very nice time. The lady at the front was very helpful when I promptly forgot our room keys in said room. The pool was nice & the jacuzzi was great after a long drive.

Staff was Extremely nice, and the rooms were quiet and clean! thank god i didn't reserve any other location in la grande. every other hotel/motel look like what a crack motel looks like in a movie. Americas Best Value Sandman Inn is worth the extra 30-40 dollars then the other guys, breakfast was breakfast they had fresh fruits, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc.. the pool looked clean. Beds were very clean (I always take the whole bed apart before i lay on it). only downside was that one of the staff started talking about a mouse they just caught by the front desk lol. But the rooms were clean and the A/C and wifi worked perfectly. and above all i felt safe in the hotel. if i ever travel that way again Americas Best Value Sandman Inn will be the place ill stay!

I stayed at the sandman couple of times over the years and I really like staying here it's not exactly the newest property but they offer a fair price most importantly they accept pets and the pool and hot tub open 24/7. have unfortunately missed the continental breakfast every single time though because it ends at 9 a.m. and I generally am not up that early but from what I've seen it looks very nice.

I had an overnight for work. Great experience with the staff. Breakfast and coffee in the morning. No issues with anything in the room other than the bathroom light in my room was dim, but not a problem.

The staff was extremely helpful and very kind. The breakfast was yummy** The rooms were super clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend!

Had,a great experience room was nice in clean. The hot tub wasn't to hot pool was nice and cold. Who ever checked us in on 3/11/18 was so friendly and welcoming had a great stay.
