Gulpha Gorge Trail

Absolutely beautiful. This is a sweet little out of the way place to just get some much needed R&R. The only down side is if you tent camp there are no showers on site. That being said there are plenty of truck stops along the way that have showers available for a nominal fee. But with this inconvenience comes the beauty and peace. The camp host on duty are very friendly as are all the travelers you will meet there. Plenty of trails from the very easy to the much experienced hiker. This out of the way hide away far out met my expectations. We look forward to going back.

Nice, quiet trail accessible from Gulpha Gorge Amphitheater. The trail is a bit steep at points, but levels out if you head away from Goat Rock. If you watch carefully you might find an old USGS survey marker in the woods.

Beautiful and challenging steep trail for an old guy like me. Very scenic and most of the trail is shaded. I encountered deer, lizards, birds, and many kinds of mushrooms. You will also see many types of colorful rocks covered with moss and or lichen. At the top of the trail is a road with a covered seating area made out of huge rocks that helped cool me off before heating back down the trail. At the base you will find running water from a creek to cool off your feet after a long hike.

Awesome Trail with lot of scenery and difficult trail. The trail goes up and down all along.

Always a great place to be take kids. Clean bathrooms. Beautiful view.

Trails are really easy to follow with many signs. Quite a lot of elevation change up the mountain and many places to park. the whole thing is about 15 miles.

Great scenic hike for anyone, kids included. It can be as easy or strenuous as you want, with cutbacks and shortcuts at every turn. Amazing views and wildlife sighting opportunities, as well as beautiful geology, animal, bug and plant life on the trail. Horseback riding is common on this trail, so watch your step!

Gulpha Gorge camping area and the nearby trail system are a couple of my favorite areas in Hot Springs. I've hiked the trails that begin at the recreational area at least 50 times and it's one of the best trails that you can find in a town. Well maintained and not too difficult to hike, it is a good trail for almost everyone. The best time to hike is in the fall, the worst time is during the Summer.

Amazing views and a nice steep walk in some areas not to mention the paranormal experience you will have at night as well as the history we also make this a yearly thing when we travel

Beautiful well marked trail

A camp facility maintained by Hot Springs National Park is located there with RV parking spaces shower stalls and outdoor cooking facilities. A marginal fee is charged for overnight stays. See the Gulpha Gorg to enjoy the natural beauty of this beautiful park
