This park is a 30 minute drive from home, but it’s my favorite one to visit! When I first came here, I didn’t expect it to be so spacious! I haven’t walked through the whole park yet.
Very kid and dog friendly. Street parking only! (Isn’t so hard to find a spot) Multiple entrances to the park. They have restrooms on site, as well as the outside sinks when you step on the peddle for the water to come out.
The park is also 3 minutes away from a Whole Foods, so usually before I get here, I stop by to buy some snacks and drinks!

Irving Park is my favorite park. There is always something fun to do there whether its visiting the dog park with your pup, walking the trail, taking your kids to the playground, playing tennis or basketball or watching a soccer or baseball game in either field.

Great but pickleballers setting up so you can't do full court basketball

Such a large and beautiful park! 2 big baseball/soccer fields, tennis courts, an open grassy area for picnics, off leash dog park with picnic tables nearby and multiple basketball courts (some covered)! The dog park is a combo of sand and grass so it can be muddy during the winter but that's unavoidable. The dog park is not fenced in and there's lots of squirrels around in case your dogs recall isn't great. There's no water fountain nearby so need to bring your own for your pup!

One of my favorite parks! Has been really good during the COVID times. I have an Aussie and he needs a good amount of space for his exercise, this park gives it all. Thank you!

Lots of straight basketball hoops that always have nice nets. Dog area is unfenced but usually full of good dogs.

Such a gorgeous place! There’s a little bit of everything here, a dog park, a massive field (great for hosting big get togethers), a great playground, basketball court, many picnic tables, very well lit and not sketchy at night! Good places to eat close by too! Irving park will always be a go to for me :)

It's nice and peaceful I like riding my bike walking or just sitting on the bench enjoying the sounds and beauty of nature

Nice big park with lots of open green areas as well as plenty of areas shaded by trees and walking trails. There are 2 (I think) separate off-leash areas for dogs, but be aware the ones I saw were not enclosed by a fence. There's tennis courts, picnic areas under a roofed wood cover, as well as picnic tables and benches, and even some large logs and rocks you could sit on - placed randomly throughout the park. Some of each are in the sun, as well as. others shaded by trees. There's a children's playground with a variety of equipment for the kids to play on, including swings, see saws, a sand pit, and a water play area.
I saw port-a-potties and a portable wash stand near the children's playground for sure, and I imagine they were probably scattered elsewhere throughout. I only spent time in that one corner of the park around the play area, - though I walked past several of the things described above coming in and going out. The grounds and facilities seemed well kept up.
The only down side/inconvenience - if you can call it - that I've run into so far, is that there's no public parking lot available. The only option is driving through the neighborhoods around the park looking for any available on-street parking.

This is the best park in Portland when it comes to finding people to play basketball or even get them to play other sports. Most parks in Portland dont have people ready to play this place does usually after 4pm or 5pm people come to have fun and the park is a nice one. The covered and uncovered basketball court is great, clean park, and a good place for a run. Fun people here and they have events on some weekends.

Irving Park is a beautiful, magical, mystical place
There's also a dog park, tennis courts, a playground, a place to do parkour, and great trees to climb

It's a large, sports-oriented park with a dog park. It also has a few benches along the path plus a picnic area.

I love this neighborhood park. It is especially great in the warmer months so kids can play in the water features. Great picnic place with tons of trees and hills.

No photo to share on this park, but trust that it is a large beautiful park. It is well maintained. And you can play tennis without the disruption of pickleball taking up court space. One of the rare parks in which pickleball is banned. Tennis courts could use some resurfacing, but they are not slippery. It's a nice old Portland neighborhood in which the park is located. Lots of big shade trees.

Great neighborhood park with a kids playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, off leash dog run, beautiful trees, nice hills and a splash pad in the summer.

Great mix of family, sport, play and off-leash areas here. My dog loves this park and gets a great workout running up and down the gentle slopes of this close-in NE park while my daughter enjoys the expansive playground.

Great park! Very large with lots of grass and places to hang out. Several baseball fields, basketball courts and a nice playground. Has a restroom and is dog friendly.
