Travelodge by Wyndham La Grande

When all the other hotels are charging $300-633/night and this place is charging under $100 then I can't complain. Even though my work pays for my hotels I try to save our company from paying these insane hotel prices. I showed up at 12am and the lady quickly checked me in, rooms were good, and the location was great.

Nice clean rooms. We were in one of the end rooms of the building. My only complaint is the wifi signal was so weak, I couldn't stay connected. May want to invest in a range extender or two.

We got a room here last minute when our car broke down on a cross country move. They got us a room with two double beds that was cat friendly. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Basic microwave, mini fridge and a coffee pot. The The bathroom was small, but functional.

Staff was really nice, zero complaints for the price.

I was a little afraid it is going to be a bad experience, but when we got to the room it was very clean. From bathroom to bedding to floor, all are clean. As the very friendly lady at the front desk said, it is not fancy but they strive to be clean and comfortable. My stay was pleasant and my bed was comfortable.

Feels comfortable here and the surrounding area is very unique here. Sportsman paradise as well for you fishermen. Love the high mountains scenery as well.

Ended up getting stranded in La Grande due to weather and resultant accidents shutting down the interstate so I ended up staying here and wanted a budget hotel to stay in overnight. Clean, warm, and a great price with a friendly staff so 5 stars for what I expected when I booked it. Not the Four Seasons like what some other reviews seem to be comparing it to but that shouldn't surprise anybody based off of the price alone; overall quality stay for a great price!

We debated on this motel because of the bad reviews. However, we were very surprised at how clean our room was! It smelled nice the moment we walked in. The carpet was NOT sticky or dirty and I know because I walk around barefoot. The bathroom was clean and in decent repair. The water temp and pressure were great. We asked for a ground level room therefore ours came with the handicap accomodations. There was a shower chair and grab bar on the tub. The tv was a great size and there was a refrigerator, microwave and a safe. The bed was soft and bouncy, I love that. My husband not so much, he likes a firm bed. The staff was very friendly and interactive. Keep in mind this is an older building but we felt it was wonderful, esp for $57. We would definitely recommend this for an overnight stay.

My company booked this place while working in town and everything was great. Check in was fast and efficient. There's donuts, bagels and a variety of other breakfast items each morning. Rooms was clean and the heater worked awesome. I stayed here for a week and had no problems. Will be booking again next time I am in town.

The bed was very comfortable. The room wa as very clean, but the heater and air didn't work right. I turned the heater on and within a minute the air turned cold. Also theres cracks between the door frames and the walls. It was actually letting light in as well as air. Other than that everything was great.

Had a great experience here. I'm under the impression that many negative reviewers are either a local competitor, or someone who didn't want to pay $150 for one of the other hotels in town, but still expects a $150 experience. Grow up.

Pros:
● Friendly staff
● Room was ok
● Room for parking large vehicles on surrounding streets
● Very close to numerous eating options

Cons:
● Some aspects are shabby, but again, that's why you're not paying what others are charging
● No exterior sound-proofing. Heard dog barking during the day and train horn at night
● Another reviewer said they were fraudulently charged $100 for smoking, when they never smoked. That almost made me not stay here.

This is a great 'old school' Motel, clean, comfortable over-night lodging well located... it's not a resort, I've been coming here for over 40 years & never been disappointed

Don't judge by the outside looks. Nice on the inside desk and light if you need too work. The bed is really soft and great not like usually hard hotel beds. The parking area is not the best but ur pretty close too the shopping areas.

Rob was super friendly and made check in a breeze. Room was comfy and cozy. Nice place to stay. Will come back back in the future when I'm in the area!

Its not the nicest hotel but its defintley not the worst. The gentleman who runs the hotel was very accomadating. He is why we came back to this hotel while working up here. Hotels have been boooked up here for 48 days soww were veey grateful to get a room.

Semi truck and trailer parking at the back and sides if you get there early enough. Friendly staff, clean rooms. If you drive truck, park as close to exit as possible so some other idiots in cars and pickups don't block you in.

The rooms are clean and the staff are polite. It's a good place to get some rest. What more could you ask for!

Customer service was excellent. The room is very nice their conditioner worked well. The breakfast was was a joke. I would go there again.
