Best Western Pony Soldier Inn - Airport

I was traveling with my two kids, our flight home was cancelled. The whole experience was a nightmare. I wanted to cry but I had my kids with me. Jean from Best Western picked us up from the airport in the shuttle, her glowing personality turned my whole mood around. She was so kind and accommodating. People like Jean in customer service are truly a treasure.

The hotel services, from pick-up at the airport to check-in and out, were very good. Our room had a comfortable bed, desk and sofa. It was clean and provided sufficient towels (which were softer than many we have experienced). Indoor pool with spa appeared to be good and being used. In-room refrigerator had a small freezer and a microwave both of which we used during our stay. The shuttle service was very helpful as we went back to airport to rent a car. Parking was plentiful and free.

This place is awesome, great staff, friendly and I can't believe how clean my room and bathroom were. All fresh comforters and blankets washed too

Our first stay with this property was great. Our room was a great size with access to an outside sitting area.
The breakfast was of great quality and attentive staff kept everything well stocked.
Loved the pool and the availability of towels so I didn't have to use the towels from the room.
We planned to return on our way back.

There was no hot breakfast due to the cook did not come in. Otherwise, the Best Western stay was excellent.

Clean rooms friendly staff, quiet rooms. Continental breakfast was ok, only one waffle maker so you have to wait, only apples for fresh fruit, and they ran out of yogurt before 8:30am.

The person that checked us in was very personable and made us feel welcome. The interactions with them made our visit feel more personal and appreciated. It's a great location to stay when you need to make a very early morning flight at PDX.

Good hotel. Close to airport, restaurant. Room and facility clean. Nice pool. Good staff. Airport shuttle service available but not 24 hours per day.

The shuttle service to PDX was amazing, I will never take my car to the air port again.

Decided to stay at this best western. as it was close to the airport and the woman on the phone was so nice. Check in was quick and a breeze. Shawn was great. My room was clean and all the hotel amenities that you come to expect were all there.. and then some! To my surprise there was a handwritten note and an elephant made out of towels on my bed. Smelled so clean and felt just fine taking my shoes off! All housekeeping should aspire to emulate "liz the housekeepers " above and beyond customer service Definitly Put a smile on my face. Breakfast in the morning was just great too! So many choices . Not just an apple and a smile like most places since covid.I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I was a little sad I had to be heading home after being cared for like that! Shawn. Liz the housekeeper. And the breakfast chef that I conversed with over my breakfast..... 5 stars! I give service to six but it only gives me five stars. My vehicle is still at the beginning of what was going to be a month long sabbatical. They are very understanding and were amazing with my dog. The pet rooms are awesome as there's a little courtyard that's fenced off and can let your pet go off leash. For several days I was the only one in that area so my dog was King 🐕👑

The room and grounds/facility was super clean. The staff was really kind and helpful. Going so far as to order us a pizza so we didn't have to go out. The area seems safe enough and we felt safe the way they have everything locked up. The airport shuttle was easy and convenient. Thanks for making our trip as relaxed as possible!

Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. And bonus tasty restaurant next door.

We stayed here for 3 nights while on vacation. We LOVED this hotel!! The bed was really comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing...very few hotels seem to have as much variety as this hotel did...the pool and hot tub were lovely and we made good use of them during the heat wave. We liked the location of the hotel. It was only a five minute walk from the Red Max line. We were able to get around town very easily on transit without needing a car. The hotel was spotless and the staff was exceptional. There is not much to find fault with. The gym was adequate. The hotel greatly exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. It was a wonderful experience. Oh, the shuttle to the airport was terrific. It goes every 30 minutes and the drive took about 8 minutes.

I stayed here for one night over this past Thanksgiving weekend. Friendly, helpful staff. Wifi signal was strong. Shower had good pressure. Very clean facility. My room (246) faced inwards towards the pool, patio, and garden areas. The room also had a balcony...see pics. I *think* my room was upgraded due to the larger size. For the price, the value was exceptional.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel and front desk staff. They were extremely helpful and was able to get me a pet friendly room at the very last minute. Hotel and parking lot felt safe and secure. Room was huge, clean, quiet and comfortable. There was even a fenced in area in the back for the dogs. Definitely staying here if we're out this way again.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, free shuttle to/from airport, driver was very helpful to load and unload our heavy luggage, even bringing out a cart to haul our stuff inside from the rain! Our reservation was handled quickly--we were in our nicely furnished room in minutes, also let us use their freezer to store some food treasures we were bringing home from Hawaii! Beds were very comfortable and clean, our double queen room was roomy enough for the two of us, and the free coffee was most appreciated!

Pleasantly surprised with the overall hotel experience. The shuttle is convenient and the front desk staff is sooo super friendly and helpful. The bottled water I bought was great especially when one of the front desk clerks offered to give me cold ones! The hotel has been recently remodeled and it looks great! I was super impressed with the staff and how friendly and accommodating they were to make my stay a nice one. I will definitely be back again!

The desk clerks were very helpful, friendly and understanding when I discovered I had lost some of my identification (rectified now). The room was superb: spacious, well laid out, comfortable. It had all the amenities I needed, and then some. I'm delighted they have 24 hour airport shuttle service. It is something I count on since I travel across country and arrive late. The convenience of having a restaurant across the parking lot is a real plus also. A weeks free parking for every nights stay is something I look for. It adds to all the other pluses of staying here. You have my business from here on out! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Needed a place to stay while healing up a leg injury. This place was perfect. Amazing service from Sarah and Sherri and the rest of their staff. Rooms are spacious and clean with a decent TV channel selection. The breakfasts here are amazing with so many options and they even mix it up a little each day. Pool and hot tub was great and they have laundry facilities for those who need them.
This place was definitely worth spending the extra dollars to stay at!

Close to the airport and bus lines and plenty of food options nearby.
