Gimre's Shoes Hillsboro

This gal loves shoes so when I found myself on Main st. for a little antiquing and spotted this shoe store I had to pop in. Wowza! They carry a lot of cute shoes and dare I say the comfortable kind! The staff are kind and extremely helpful and patient. I found a sweet pair of patent leather combat boots, they are going to be my favorite shoes this winter. I love them and they are lightweight and comfy unlike the DOCS of my childhood.

I wholeheartedly recommend Gimre’s Shoes in Hillsboro. I stopped in recently with severe foot pain from plantar fasciitis. I worked with Kelly the store manager. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. She educated me on the feet, shoes, and how the wrong fit of a certain shoe had been the creation of my pain. She did not try to over sell me, just what I needed. I am grateful to have found such a special store.

What's not to love about a well stocked shoe store with the latest shoe wares, white glove friendly service, competitive prices all in housed in a convenient main street location! Shoes need to be tried on (fitted) and tested before buying and the folks at Gimre's Shoes know what they are doing! I recently experienced an "above and beyond" exchange of shoes which was totally hassle free and very generous. Gimre's is a modern downtown shoe store with a touch of the lost art of attention to customer's individual needs. Some shopping experiences are best in brick and mortar establishments and Gimre's is just that!

I always enjoy my time at Gimre's. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the selection is good for the brands they carry, and there are always some cute options available. Plus they often have nice sales and good finds in the clearance section.

After buying a pair of ill fitting shoes online I dropped into Gimre's to try another size before exchanging. What I found was that I didn't have the wrong size, I had the wrong shoe for me. I ended up leaving with two pairs of comfortable quality shoes and look forward to doing future business with Gimre's!

This store is fabulous. I have never received the quality customer care I received at this establishment when purchasing shoes. the staff is very knowledgeable and selective of their merchandise. Will be buying all my shoes here from now on.

Brandon helped me tonight. I haven't had customer service like this anywhere for years. He took his time and made sure I had exactly what I needed. My old shoes were dirty. He took them in the back and waterproofed them while I was trying on new shoes. Incredible experience. Thanks, Brandon

My mom and I stopped by Gimre's for some inserts that her doctor recommended. The service & knowledge coupled with the genuine care Brandon showed her was much appreciated. Gimre's has a new customer - she's thrilled with her purchase & will be back again. If you want to shop where the employees do more than grab a few boxes in your size, visit Gimre's.

I've had 2 very positive experiences at Gimre. On both occasions I brought my puppy into the shop with me (they are dog friendly). They brought out treats for my pup, and I really appreciated that they special ordered Keen shoes in a size that fit me. They called me when the shoes were in, and I also was fitted for a more comfortable work shoe that felt so much better to stand in than my previous worn out pair. Their prices are very reasonable for the higher quality shoe - as a reference, my work shoes w/ their insoles were $175 & the Keen sandals were $120. I know both brands will last at least 2 years. They said that they donate old shoes, which is great! They offered my pup water & welcomed me back soon.

P.S. I didn't purchase one today, but for those who consider this a value, I noticed they had vegan shoes as well. Very cool!

Amazing customer service! It was my first time getting Birkenstock's and Kelly helped me tremendously! She was able to answer ALL of my questions and patiently helped me figure out which styles would be best for me. Gimre's has a lot to offer...a big selection of high quality shoes and socks. They have bags as well. I'm happy with my purchase and my experience and will make sure to buy again from Gimre's for my next shoe needs!

As a busy professional I don't shop much, but I had a particular shoe style in mind and dropped by my hometown shoe store. Hadn't been there in years, but my experience was so great, I will be back regularly. My salesperson, Karen, was fantastic. She found exactly what I was looking for and made sure the fit was great. There was no pressure, just outstanding customer service that is so hard to find nowadays. She was aware that I was on a time schedule and took care of me very efficiently. She also made it fun. The store has an incredible variety of styles that make me want to come back soon and often. While I was there others were obviously happy. They exceeded my expectations and made me very happy.

My mom and I's favorite shoe store here in Hillsboro. The staff is very kind and friendly, I've never felt pressured to buy a shoe or uncomfortable with the environment. If you're in the hillsboro area or just stopping by, I highly recommend coming to Gimre's, a great family business.

I ​been getting all of my shoes from Gimre's since 2013 and have loved each and every pair. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 2 years ago and finding shoes that are comfortable and don't feel like they are setting my skin on fire after a few minutes of wearing. Miss Kelly is always willing to help and make things perfect.

This is a gem of a shoe store... Independently owned by the same family for 3 generations, with high quality products and a top notch staff.
I've bought shoes for several people in my family here, including Birkenstocks for my son and the service is amazing every time.
Make sure to check their sale section... There are always good deals.

I have a wide foot and when trying to find a shoe it has been difficult. Gimre's Shows is the place to go I bought Dansko shoes. They are great to deal with would recommend them anyone who needs a nice shoe.

I highly recommend this store! I wanted a pair of Birkenstock’s but couldn’t find a pair wide enough. As soon as I walked in, a staff member, Chris, came over to help me. The assistant manager, Kelly, also offered suggestions. The people in this store were very professional— an imaging machine helped them evaluate my foot problems, and they took careful measurements of both feet.
They were patient and helpful— another sales person, Kathy, was friendly and helpful as I wandered around looking at other items.
Unfortunately, it seems that Birkenstock’s simply don’t fit my feet, but I was fitted with other shoes that are very comfortable and stylish. It was a very successful afternoon of shopping and I’m looking forward to pain free walking! Thank you Gimre’s and Chris, Kelly, and Kathy!

Amazing customer service. Walked in and was instantly helped! All the staff have amazing knowledge about feet and were able to fit me into a great pair of shoes for work and supportive inserts that instantly felt great after weeks of dealing with foot pain.
