This place has some of the best food in town. sandwiches are amazing, but the baked goods are ridiculous. absolutely worth the stop

Great sandwiches and great pie; We like to stop by and pick up sliced deli meats and cheeses to take home to family when we pass through.

This is my favorite sandwich shop in the area.
They have great fresh made to order sandwiches and a cute market with healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices and lots more more…and a small souvenir store. Whenever I visit the area, it’s my #1 choice to stop at.

I absolutely love Kauffman's Market! Their baked goods seriously test my self control and they carry things that I can't get anywhere else.

Perfect place to browse around in produce and nick nacks while shopping at fresh breads, pies, and other bakery goods. Wonderful homemade soups with great sandwiches.

If you get to La Grande, Island City area this is a must visit. From sandwiches to pies and Jams and Candie's this shop is amazing and carries the best in many varieties. Try the Carmel corn with cashews it's the best .

Lovely little market. Lots of unique and hard to find items here (both food and gift items). Everyone was very nice. I found some great cookie cutters here, hard to find quality baking ingredients, some very tasty hot chocolate mix, all kinds of good stuff. The magnets and cards are touching and meaningful. I wanted to buy them all.

It's my favorite place in town. The best baked goods, deli, lunches, gift store, bulk spices, etc. And the BEST AND PEOPLE WORK HERE😘!

What an interesting place. The food is great and there's many different kinds of products you can buy. Went to a community welcoming and had lunch. We had hot dogs, home made noodles in chicken broth and home made cinnamon rolls. They also had coffee and water and it was all free. One of the best hot dogs I've ever had and the noodles were awesome. Lots of Christmas type candy for sale and they have gift packs of Amish popcorn. There's also an upstairs with more to buy. Out of the way place with lots of charm. I will most definitely be going back.

Best popcorn around, excellent bread from thier bakery, supplies for canning,... all kinds of good food and wonderful alternative to the supermarket.

Absolutely perfect sandwiches. Don't go here if you're looking for something on the cheap, but if you truly enjoy a good sandwich this is the place to stop. On top of that they have some incredible jellies jams breads etc. if you've never been here in your passing by you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop in to see all the amazing, many of them "homemade", choices

My wife (who is PA Dutch) and I were in Joseph, OR for business and as I was talking to a contractor I met in Joseph, he asked me if I was from PA. He said he picked up my accent because his wife was from PA. I told him I was and had moved from PA to the West coast in 2007. He told me I had to stop by Kauffman's for their Lebanon bologna and farmers cheese. He said his wife loves the store. The second I walked in I was hit with nostalgia from the PA Dutch/Mennonite/Amish where I used to live in PA. Everything seemed high quality from crafts to food. We bought the Lebanon bologna, cheese and many other items. Beautiful store, awesome people and the bologna and cheese were some of the best I've eaten. Definitely an awesome store.

Oh my goodness, this place is fantastic! The staff is friendly and the market is very neat and tidy. The peanut butter cream pie is just as delightful as the one my Mom refuses to make and the selection of baking supplies and spices is amazing!!!

A wonderful little shop and deli. We stopped by for lunch on our way through town. Classic sandwiches on fresh locally made white or wheat with fresh fillings hit the spot. Service was kind and wonderful. The shop is a sweet little spot with all kinds of tempting things, jams, honey, spices, pickled veggies, candies. A great stop
