Legacy Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Last week we bought a 2024 Dodge Ram1500 from the Tacoma dealership in Washington. We decided to take it on our vacation to Salt Lake City for the Easter holiday when 5 hours into our trip we got a“air suspension “ warning pop up on our brand new truck (700 miles on it 400 from the current trip).

We googled the nearest Dodge dealership which happened to be Legacy Dodge in La Grande Oregon. These folks are amazing!

Now it should have been a quick fix but the part needed is on a 6 week back order status. Not their fault, obviously this is a Dodge issue. However, the customer service their service department team provided us was exemplary. They spent several hours troubleshooting the issue and I know worked over their scheduled time to help us was beyond our expectations. Everyone was so friendly and professional it made the situation bearable. It was refreshing to receive such a positive experience.

I needed transportation while I was in the area. I rented an SUV for 2 weeks. The rental was kind of pricey. The friendly and fast service was outstanding. After dropping off the free shuttle took us where we needed to go. I will rent here again.

Bought a 2016 4Runner here a few months ago and traded in my Forester as a part of the deal. Dealt with Daniel and his father Michael. Both were very personable and pleasant to work with; I actually talked with Michael for a good hour or so after we had finalized everything just shooting the breeze. I did notice there was an inaccuracy with the odometer reading on the online listing vs. what was actually on the dash and they were very willing to work with the mistake. There was also an issue with accounting for taxes as I am a Colorado resident and was able to get in touch with Robert who spent his time detailing what the issue was and helping me through it offering some reimbursement which I really appreciated! Those kind of gestures are very indicative of a well run business that does care about their reputation. Overall, I would say in a world where car salesmen have a terrible rep it was good to find a dealership where it's just regular people trying to work out a fair deal for both sides. Would 100% recommend them.

Live in oregon Legacy is in oregon, was quoted a price for filter, then was charged tax. Oregon does not have sales tax, so why am i being charged tax more than i should have been?

I can't say enough about the service and level of care I was provided at Legacy Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram. I'm not from La Grande, and I'll likely never buy a vehicle here as it's 300 miles from home, but returning from a trip to the Wallowas we broke down in our 2021 Gladiator diesel. Fortunately we were able to get a timely tow from Capt. Hook's Towing (see separate review) and got to Legacy shortly before they closed. This was on Labor Day so unfortunately the service bay was closed. Without any hesitation the sales staff (Tony Magee, and Greg Thompson) loaned us a vehicle to try the local parts store and check our battery (battery was fine and not the issue). After we returned Tony made sure we were set up with a loaner car for however long it would take to get us fixed, had the paperwork waiting, and gave a great recommendation for a place to have a beer and some dinner. I called the next morning first thing and service had already scheduled my vehicle for diagnostics. By early afternoon the problem had been diagnosed, a blown 150A fuse block, (kudos to the tech for the spot-on call) and a new part was being overnighted. By 10:45 the next morning I was already back on the road after a quick walkthrough with the tech on what had gone wrong. As this was a warranty issue, there was no cost. Not once did I receive any hassle or run-around, they just got in and got it done. I think the staff went above and beyond for a waylaid owner who in all likelihood will never be back. If that's how they treat a stranger, I imagine repeat business would be a joy. Thank you again Tony, Greg, and everyone else at Legacy for turning what could have been a real hassle into a very smooth and easy hiccup.
