On the morning when you wake up and find your mother has passed, and the universe is crashing around you, and you're saying your last goodbye... you hope for someone like Tommy, from Lewis Funeral Chapel, to be the one coming to take her away. I've never felt more "seen" by another human being. He obviously understands the gravity of this responsibility. I was heartbroken, but I tried to maintain my composure. Tommy saw right through all that and his genuine sympathy and the warmth in his voice as he apologized for my loss, offered so much comfort and reassurance, and I am so grateful to him for that.

In the last year, our family has lost two members who lived in eastern Oklahoma. Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR did an excellent job in handling both services. My husband passed away recently after a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. When it came time to make the arrangements, a friend recommended Lewis FH. When I first met with Tommy snd Shanae, I immediately felt at ease and comforted. They took care of everything. All my concerns and questions were considered and those of my family and every effort was made to make this most difficult time as easy as possible. Tommy, Shanae and their staff went above and beyond to make the visitation and the service a time of celebration and love without any worry of details. Tommy took the initiative to play my husband’s favorite song earlier than planned, and it was perfect. My husband loved spontaneous acts and by Tommy playing the song at that time made us feel his presence even more. I am so thankful for everyone at Lewis Funeral Home and recommend them highly for anyone who has to say goodbye to a loved one. May God bless you all and bless your most important work.

Lance & his team did a wonderful job with my mother's funeral. They were up front about everything and never pressured us on any decision. Their recommendations were spot on. They honored every request we made & even some we made at the last minute. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My son passed on March 27,2020 and it was at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.The staff of Lewis were very kind and understanding. They did a fantastic job ,my son looked like he was asleep and could wake up at any second.They were professional,kind,and very helpful throughout and after the entire process. We will be forever grateful for them as they cared for us as though we were family.

When it comes to veterans there is no better funeral home in our opinion and we escort many veterans funerals approximately 200 last year alone. This Funeral Home goes above and beyond for the veterans and their families that they are serving.

My Mom passed away in a nursing home in Van Buren and they picked her up and took great care of her and was so nice to me and my dad .. no one was rude or hateful at all my mom had her Direct Cremation 2 days after she passed and i had her ashes back home with me the next days . im so thankful for Lewis Funeral home totally professional kind and caring and very RESPECTFUL ....

They were so understanding how i wanted my moms funeral to go they did a wonderful job i will tell anyone to use them very good people
