Excellent afternoon hike in the woods. Great views from the top hill. Very well maintained pastures. Be careful as horses do use this area. Some bikers and runners but mostly friendly hikers. Plenty of parking at least 20 spots and lots to look at!

This place is big and there is a decent amount of elevation. If you get to the top you can see to the ocean.

Most beautiful, exquisite meadow with the "shell trail" reaching a hilltop from which you can see the ocean from Halbut Point in Gloucester to Great Neck in Ipswich. Depending on the season it is wonderful for bluebirds, kingbirds, meadowlark, bobolinks, finches, hawks and wildflowers. Also monarch butterflies and other wildflower pollinators. Walk is not strenuous. You can also head south from the meadow to pass the Air Force solar observatory and grave of Chief Masconomet and a nice walk in the woods. Ok to bring your well-behaved dog. Masks and distancing required during COVID. Go to Essex County Greenbelt for a map.

Beautiful property. Once you get up the hill there are wonderful views and vista's. Good place to walk and bring your dog.

Gorgeous trails. A less populated version of Appleton farms... Great view from the lookout and beautiful during the fall.
