I got two burritos, one with the shrimp and beef and the red sauce pork. Don't ask me how to spell or pronounce what it's called. My Spanish is terrible but everybody here has been very helpful. It's a grocery store with cafeteria essentially, but food is absolutely amazing. Definitely a repeat visit for a good meal.

Excellent spot for ready to go food and pastries. There are tons of cakes and the carnicería (meat department) has all kinds of cuts including marinated options to get cooking. You're all friendly and amazing thank you

They are in very poor part of the city, not a good area. That is irrelevant I'm grateful thankful, that there is 1 Mexican supermarket by me walking distance i live off zuni, and i live alone i like too cook and love Mexican food. Prices are high yes, but it's pretty much the only super market, grocery store close this area has nothing anymore everything went outta business. Besides i like too go too El mesquite not only for my cervesa, and my red Chile, but there is some really hot mamas that work there too 😂😂

Today was my maiden voyage to El Mezquite Market and it was a very positive experience. The left side of the store is an amazing Mexican restaurant the back wall on the left is a bakery, center and right back wall Meats, side right wall produce. The atmosphere had a good vibe and music was playing in their PA system. If you haven't been there you are missing out on good food at affordable prices and a wide variety and selection to choose from.

Fresh pastries and sweets. Selection was impressive and they have lots of candy! Great place to go if you have a larger family. Classic Mexican goods definitely better than your average grocery store!

El Mezquite is one of the best markets in town. Good produce and selection. Wish this one was located in a better area. The salsa slaps and the baked goods are great.

I have shopped at this market before. As with every market I shop at, I don't like everything there. I select items which I prefer, and abstain from items which I don't like. I come to Mezquite Market for cayenne powder, cumin powder, garlic powder and onion powder. It's more expensive than the fresh vegetables, yet I like these as seasonings. I also enjoyed the hibiscus tea which I purchased here. I liked the chamomile tea.

Love this place!! Always ate at the food court inside. Good service. Great food! The only problem was that they only spoke Spanish and had to point at what you wanted because some didn't understand English. And they didn't have a bike rack outside.

Good prices on produce (limes, onions, peppers), meat, and cheese. Excellent food prepared daily; especially for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend this grocery store for their prices on everything mentioned above, but not the best for items like milk, juice, chips, etc.

I love this local market. I found this treasure, four years ago, while visiting Rio Rancho. Upon my return to NM last week, I was told by my sin-in-law, that they'd closed. Needless to say, I had to go see for myself. I was happy to see that they'd just downsized. This market has a great prices on their meat & vegetables & the homemade salsas & Pico are to die for. I was sad to see the deli go, but delighted that they're still in business.

Amazing selection of chiles! Pretty solid prices on meat and produce with rotating sales that put some items like limes at unbeatable prices. Haven't tried the in house taqueria so I can't comment on it.

I like this store because you can buy ready to eat meals here. So If you like everything all Mexican or Spanish this is the place to come to shop. You will have fun shopping here. It is the only place that you can go too to buy groceries for all your Spanish & mexican recipes.

At all of the El Mezquite locations I've been too, they've always been able to help me with cashing a check, making money orders, or sending a Western Union. And it's always very fast and friendly service from their cashier's. And there's also always great prices on their meats and stuff if you are looking for anything mexican to eat...

It carries similar merchandise to sprouts at 1/3 the price. Amazing bakery. It's also the only place in town I've found unwaxed cucumbers. Holiday bakers; sticks of Sri Lanka cinnamon (the best in the world) ready for your blender or spice grinder. Fresh seafoods.
