I volunteered with The Albuquerque Astronomical Society at Hodgin ES last night for a star party. Christina Burger and the other tireless and dedicated members of the staff worked very hard to make this a memorable experience for the students and their families. I was very impressed with the high quality learning that was going on for the Suess under the Stars event. Hats off to Hodgin!

This is a great school!!! My grandson, Reid, has gone there since kindergarten. The teachers genuinely care about the kids and Ms Woodly is the best principals I have ever met!!!

This school gives me some good memories with all the happy feelings I get. There are some problems though. Don't drink the juice .
I barfed for a day and I had to be taken out of school (could of won the perfect attendance) and the barf shot out my nose. Don't eat the food .BLEH it's disgusting. And finally don't play on the spin bars I got stuck on one(truth be told). But the teachers are so friendly and my teacher was the best and smartest teacher I knew. I recommend this school but I believe you should bring your lunch(Trust Me)

4th through 6th grade I attended Hodgin. They had a little planetarium which I thought was really cool for an elementary school.

I like the fact that no children goes hungry. I disliked the fact my granddaughtet failed reading. There was no communication from teacher. No answers to the emails my daughter sent. The fact was my granddaughter was a new student with a SAT from previous school nothing was followed through. Then on the last day of school there was a meeting. To little to late. And who suffered a child. Nobody took any responsibility for the lack of action. Hope it changes this year. I document events and if nothing is done the first 60 days i will consider the agreement that was written up a broken promise to a good education.
