I love the Georgetown-Rowley State Forest! For me it's a little hidden gem. There is a great variety of trails (I got lost the first time!) and the graffiti walls that run over I-95 always great for some photos with pops of color. Parking can get crowded, but I've never had an issue. I prefer early in the morning, and it is quieter then. Great spot to mountain bike, and during the winter months, a snowshoe with your dog.

This is a fun hiking spot! We stopped here on our roadtrip back from New Hampshire, which was easy because this is right near the highway. There’s a main path and several side paths, all clearly marked.

Great place to walk or ride. Lots of side trails. A couple of clean areas for dogs to get wet depending on the time of year. There are maps available at the parking. Parking if crowded can be a bit tight. The main road/trail goes over rt95 and is kinda good spot to photo shoot.

Georgetown-rowley State Forest is MASSIVE!! Murmurous trails to explore and it’s beautiful and well kept!! You can get to a bridge on top of route 95 and it’s an exciting view! The woods are beautiful and you’ll always find groups exploring whether riding, running, walking, or photographers!! Great place for family and friend adventure and easy terrain for bike riding!!

Lots of trail choices and mild elevation gains. Saw a hawk and a beaver lodge.

Beautiful park. I like to walk to the foot bridge that goes over 95. It’s usually empty and I have the place to myself. On nice days it definitely has some foot traffic though. It’s a pretty big place so make sure you download a map first. Sometimes I’ll bring my mountain bike and cruise around, which is fun when it’s not totally gross out.

My partner and I decided to take a sporadic hike on our way back from Water Country and honestly am proud to have done so.! Our walk was short, but beautiful nonetheless. We will be back with our pups to explore more of nature's beauty!

Truly an excellent set of mtb trails to venture out to for a ride. The single-track at Georgetown offers the more advanced rider a place to stretch their legs and in some cases test their skill. IF you don't consider yourself "more advanced", don't fret... there is nothing back there SO scary that it would stop you from having a good time.

Lovely hiking trails. Beavers, many types of birds, deer, turtles and much more make there home here. So let's keep it clean.

Some of the best trail running and mountain biking in Essex County a footbridge allows you to cross over the busy route 95 to explore trails on both sides of the highway.

Quiet except for the forest sounds, a babbling Brook, trees swaying and crackling, various bird's.. complete relaxation. So worth taking a walk...

Wife wears skirts, has me sit with my back against a tree and feeds me in the woods when no one is around while she hugs a tree.

Nice for a November hike! Would not see as much if leaves on the trees. Lots of MTBs!

Nice quiet place to either bike or walk the trails and clear your head, or just observe the natural beauty around you.
