DownRiver Ice Cream

I’m in town visiting from South Florida. OMG this was an AMAZING place to hear about!! They have a lot of unique flavors of ice cream which sets them apart. Our ice cream server was super sweet and helpful of telling us what flavors we might enjoy. HIGHLY recommend Downriver Ice Cream. A+++

After spending most of the day at beach and getting seafood, everyone was still hungry enough for ice cream. First time here and we'll definitely go back. I got the "Dirty Joe", coffee ice cream with Oreo pieces inside, topped with jimmies!

Best ice cream around. So many delicious flavor at a very fair price.

A must when in the North shore area and the perfect stop after visiting Crane's beach.

Walk around the back for some great seating. Credit cards accepted and the service is friendly and fast. Tons of ice cream flavors. Stop by here on your way to Crane beach.

The homemade ice cream here is absolutely delicious, and you can tell how much love the put into their shop.

Standing in the short line, we looked at the prices and were taken aback a bit at how expensive an ice cream cone could be. Oh, well, we were on vacation, so no big deal. But when she handed over the enormous ball of ice cream, it suddenly became very economical! When we got back to our AirBnB, we put the unfinished cones in the freezer and enjoyed them again for dessert the next night. The flavors are imaginative and judging from our selections, are delicious. Creamy, homemade ice cream can't be beat. Waaaay better than factory-produced Häagen-Dazs!

Amazing flavors! I highly recommend the stop... if it's open, it's 100% worth it! Just plan on bringing/wearing bug spray if you are sticking around to eat outside, because every time I've been there, the mosquitos have been fierce!

This place is a great spot to grab a scoop
of delicious ice cream or frozen yogurt and watch the sunset over the marsh in any of their abundantly provided Adirondack chairs in the grass.
It is open on Monday... not sure why google says they are closed.

Place is small, some outside seating. Parking is slim. Ice cream is really good. Flavors have very strange names. Recommend looking at website to figure out flavors. Quality to price ratio is pretty good.

Fantastic tasting ice cream with unique flavors! Portion sizes are generous and sugar cones the default! (None of those gross cake cones.) Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a lovely seating area out back facing a marsh with even an info sign of how the business stays environmentally friendly! The only negative is parking can be difficult and lines long as it's quite popular (and thus some flavors also sell out). We'll be back!

Real custard ice cream, creative - thought the selection of yogurt and sorbets are limited they are marvelous. The location offers a wonderful country setting to enjoy your treat …..not a zillion cars and people ….no mass production quality here.

One of the top 5 ice creams I've ever had. Great flavors and a fun location. A bit out of the way and more parking and sitting areas would be awesome; but the ice cream itself is truly top notch.
EDIT - Thank you for reading and replying. Yes, the sitting areas are great, just gets a bit crowded when really busy AND given how socially distant we all need to be these days. That said, my one criticism is admittedly very nit-picky. 5 Stars for a reason and the seating is good, just could use a tiny bit more these days. AWESOME job DownRiver!

Get the baby cone! Baby cone!!! It's so big and delicious.... Loved it.

Really great ice cream! Of their specials I wouldn't recommend the raspberry cheesecake. Just jam and vanilla, was hoping for real fruit and graham cracker crust.

After a relaxing day in crane beach what better than a sunshine view with one of the best ice-creams you can taste. Delicious
