Blue Marlin Grille

We are visiting from Maryland, and we wanted a spot to get lobster. Boy, did we find it. The lobster, fried clams, and lobster ravioli were superb. It may be pricey, but with what you get, it is certainly worth every penny. Our server, Jillian, was amazing, even gave me a refresher on how to open up the lobster. Absolutely would recommend.

Absolutely in love with this place. We visited the area for the weekend and it was a great way to enjoy the New England lifestyle! The c clams, the broiled combo and desserts were fantastic! Thanks for making NE so much fun.

Loved fresh oysters, fish soup was amazing!
Seafood platters were huge enough for more than two people.
We were well taken care of by our waiter.

Wonderful atmosphere great food and good service. Large variety of meals options not just sea foods. I had fried clams while my son had marinated steak tips. Highly recommend this place huge portions also.

What an amazing restaurant. The service was so good and the food was even better. Absolutely loved all our food. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Our server Greta was phenomenal. Will definitely go back. Was our first visit, but it will not be our last. Highly recommend this place.

Everything about this place is amazing! Portions are huge, prices are great and it has a nice coastal comfy atmosphere. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

This was my first lobster. I was so excited, and Blue Marlin did not disappoint. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted great. My partner had the swordfish which he proclaimed the best he ever had. We are visiting from Florida and this was the experience we were looking for. We rarely have dessert except when the dinner is exceptional. This was, so we shared a beautiful strawberry shortcake. Perfect ending to a perfect meal.

We actually ate here again, and it was just as delicious the second time!

We visited the Blue Marlin Grille. It is 5 STARS for us.. It a nice atmosphere, nice beachy blue and green decor, very clean, friendly staff felt welcome. There was a very large bar that at least 3 other customers encouraged us to sit and eat at. But we wanted to sit at a table. They specialize in seafood but have all kinds of food. Salads, soups, and a great variety of appetizers, different food options, and large portions. The fried clams were excellent!!! Fresh oysters delicious. Fried Haddock was great. Don't recommend the calamari. Otherwise it was a good experience enjoyed ourselves they have a full bar including Martinez I recommend this restaurant definitely for seafood.

Some of the best tasing seafood and drinks we experienced in Gloucester, MA! They were so welcoming and our server was very attentive and made our experience even more enjoyable. The fish and chips was full of flavor and a meal to feed a family! The lobster bake was full of fresh lobster and so full of flavor, the sides were a perfect pairing. We can't wait to plan our next trip back to Gloucester!

Highly Recommended!! The variety of plates in the menu from Surf to Turf, you can go wrong! It's just delicious! Nice service and great smiles from staff. One of my favorites in Cape Ann

Blue Marlin has become my favorite spot to spend a Saturday afternoon. Excellent service, delicious dishes (great portions) and fun atmosphere. Friendly staff and patrons. Simply top notch. Highly recommend the espresso martini!

I want to start by saying This is by far the most amazing restaurant I have ever been to. The seafood was incredible, the lobster roll was unlike anything so have any had. The drinks amazing and the service spectacular. Don’t think about going here just go.

Food is always great, good portions for a fair price. Service and atmosphere are second to none.

Another year and as always, consistently exceeding my expectations. This has turned into somewhat of a ritual of mine. Whenever I travel to the North Shore of Massachusetts, I go out of my way to eat at the Blue Marlin restaurant. On Route 133 in Essex. There you will find my favorite restaurant. I never deviate from my order year after year. Blackened swordfish, butternut squash and rice pilaf. The Matchstick vegetables automatically come with it. The menu is quite diverse but that's what I get. I already own a yellow t-shirt with their logo on it. Last week I tried to buy two more T-shirts, one in red and one in White. Unfortunately they ran out of my size in white and I could only buy the red one. Oh well, next year I'll make sure to pick one up.

I was not disappointed! I swear the bartender moved at lightning speed making drinks.

Whenever a restaurant has fried pickles, I have to try them. They were so yummy, not too salty.

The Blue Marlin Haddock (baked). 😳 So delicious! The fish was cooked perfectly, the crumbs on top weren't soggy, the mashed potatoes went great with it.

I recommend and will return!

We loved going to the Blue Marlin yearly to celebrate my nanas birthday! They've always been extremely accommodating for our large group (roughly 20-30ppl). Everyone is always satisfied and has MORE than enough food.

Top notch restaurant for seafood. Everything was wonderful. I recommend the lobster roll. Heaps of lobster! Great staff and service, as well.

The food is always Amazing! The seafood Cameron Alex is my favorite so far. The cheese sauce is light & delicious. Had the lobster crab cakes for the appetizer & it was fantastic! Can't say enough about how wonderful the food is!!

Went for a birthday celebration in March and did not disappoint food was awesome drinks were great and service was also great! ! Can't wait to go back

Family restaurant with full bar, nice assortment of dishes on the menu. Prices are in line with the area, $28.99 for a generous portion of haddock served over sautéed spinach with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. Too full for dessert but really wish I could have had their chocolate cake. Cheerful, prompt service, we like it there a lot.
