Awesome owners and staff. Very pleasant. Small latino market but jam packed with food, produce and some take out. Very friendly people. Very busy store. My family is not spanish but we often shop at this store for convenience foods. My husband always comments on the friendliness and personality of the owner.

The Essex Market is the corner store you hope for in your daily life. It has the usual mix of American/Spanish groceries and beverages, and fresh fruits and vegetables. What's unusual is their Breakfast/Lunch Counter with a wonderful mix of American Sandwiches, fried food, and Spanish side dishes.

The Martinez Family, the owners, are always friendly and helpful. They accept cash, credit cards, EBT, and WIC. Oh, they have an ATM, too.

Place use 2 have breakfast going on ..all of a sudden it shut down...now all they have is chicken soup...but overall very polite store has alot of different choice of foods , fruits ..

Juan and his wife are always friendly towards their customers. Try their chicken soup if you're on Essex Street.
