Ume Asian Bistro Japanese Restaurant

FANTASTIC! This is one of the best sushi places I've been to. This upscale restaurant sits among a small section of shops in Longmeadow. Plenty of parking. The entrance has a nice clean and welcoming feel. Inside is divided into two sections, the left is the bar and the right is the dining area. They have a lot of nice touches throughout the whole space making it feel really fancy and exciting. Some of the booths even have pillows which I thought was such a cozy addition. Our server was super friendly and polite, even gave us complimentary rolls (which were quite tasty).

We ordered four sushi rolls which came out pretty quickly and they were delicious. The flavor balance was perfect and it tasted really fresh. My favorite was for sure the Honado Roll. Deep fried spicy tuna is my jam. We had such a wonderful experience, I have not one single critique. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL atmosphere, amazing and friendly service, with quality ingredients and elegant plates packed with umami flavors. Top Noche joint. Highly recommend.

Food and service was fantastic! Great atmosphere for a date night! My wife and I had a bottle of wine, followed by a couple bowls of delicious miso soup. We were then served an "on the house maki roll" which was a tasty starter and unexpected. We had ordered the Love boat for two and the rolls, sushi, and sashimi that was included was incredibly fresh! My wife even commented that "even the rice tastes better here." Finally after we ate our fill, with some leftovers to spare, we were givin a little scoop of ice cream to finish off our meal! what a great touch! The bill was VERY reasonable @ $85 for the food, drink and experience we received! We will definitely be back!

Had lunch here. Service was fast and the sashimi was noticeably higher quality than other places. Would go again!

The food was amazing. The staff definitely on top of their game. Would go again and again and again. They have good drinks too.

I wish they had the Salmon lunch box!!!! It’s the most incredible tasting item I have ever have had the pleasure of eating. I do t even like salmon . That’s how incredibly tasty this meal is . Today ordered several sashimi and few rolls. Incredible as always. This tastes very very fresh and never seems to have anything but the best prepared sushi. Never has my family felt ill due to the food or the quality!!! A++++ best food around

We ordered four different kinds of specialty rolls, and let me say it was some of the best sushi I've ever had! We had spicy tuna, soft shell crab, and shrimp tempura, and all of it was simply delicious. It was hard to pick a favorite. The staff was friendly and attentive as well. We will be back often!

Wonderful lunch at Ume! The staff was friendly and attentive. We had sushi and a woki bowl and both were excellent. We even got to try a generous sample of a new tempura battered crab roll. We will be going again soon!

Their drinks are amazing especially the Caramel Martini. Sushi is good too. We tried the Tuna Sushi pieces

Great authentic Japanese cuisine. Prices are reasonable for Longmeadow neighborhood, and a special dish "on the house* is always brought to the table. Also, ice cream after meal is a free desert! The ambience is very elegant and its patrons are always well put together. The temperature has always been accordingly with the weather, and noise level is decent. Handicap accessible; ample parking. Great for date night, friends hang out, or family gathering.

Fantastic Food, quality, and service. I've reviewed sushi places before but something about their ingredients really makes the flavor and texture stand out. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We also tried a shrimp teriyaki which was soaked in butter and teriyaki sauce and loaded with, yes 13 medium sized shrimp!! The shrimp explodes in your mouth with with the soaked up flavors of the rest of the dish. The onions were caramelized perfectly and the peppers chared enough to give a nice smokey umami to the whole dish.

Excellent sushi restaurant. Of a dozen or so sushi places I've tried this is one of the best I've been to. We got the sushi boat for cheaper than I've seen elsewhere and there was a wonderful variety of rolls, nagiri, and sashimi. In addition we received a bonus tempura roll before the boat. The fish was all good quality. Also received free ice cream at the end. Decor is a little much for me. It has a night club vibe. But I did enjoy the couch seating option.

Sushi is one of the best in the area. Come here for dinner often. The dining area is updated, the atmosphere is nice. If too busy the bar area is usually available. Service is top notch. The location is nice. All around a great place. Can't complain.

Bangin' vodka martinis, expensive but you only need one! Free lily roll when you spend a certain amount. Don't be scared of sushi, it is NOT all raw fish!

I went to Ume yesterday night, and it was amazing. The prices were great, the food was delicious, and the service was perfect. We even got ice cream on the house. Try the salmon avocado salad... you won't be disappointed.

We finally got around to trying this place out and we had one of the best meals I've ever had! Great service, great food, and a great atmosphere. Perfect for the entire family, I strongly recommend!

Easily my favorite place to get a great sushi dinner. Their Avocado Ball is to die for. They have the most wonderful Specialty Rolls. My personal favorites are the Red River Roll, and the Lily Roll.

Sushi boat is awesome with three random rolls included. We were given a free roll for appetizer and free ice cream at the end! Good night out!!

Pfffff love boat is insane even for 2 people, server was amazing and funny, 100% recommended place to eat Asian food
