Recently spent a few nights here in Cabin 3! It was lovely! The cabin was clean and charming and only $50 a night! (Should note on the reservation site that sleeps 3 in this cabin means a full size and a twin size bed, not three beds. Luckily we had proper fitting sheets, by chance!) Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot! The whole area was beautiful and the cabin area was remote and quiet. It was the perfect place to unplug while still being a few minutes away from lots to do, including white water rafting and a cute cafe!

Wonderful state park with beautifully maintained campgrounds. Riverside sites, many options to choose from. Right off route 2, easily accessible. Friendly staff and affordable in and out of state rates for camping. Off season options available. Very nice for locals as well as out of towners. Highly recommend a day trip or even spending the night. each site comes equipped with a table and grill. Spacious spots with room for RV.

Went out there to get out of the house. Social distancing is really taking a toll these days. Amazing views just driving down Rte 2 on the Mohawk trail. Very relaxing and enjoyable. I took a lot of stress off exploring this trail.

Beautiful, spacious and clean. They have tent sites at 17.00 a day and cabins that sleep 6 for 54 a night. For MA residents only.

Beautiful trail next to a shallow river. Great little trail for folks who want a short hike with minimal elevation gain. You can walk on dirt roads or paved roads so this is a great option for beginners. When the water is low there are plenty of rocks to sit on to enjoy the view of the river.

Nice log cabin in the woods. Stayed in Cabin 1. Close to bathrooms, showers, and dish washing station. No running water in the cabin but has lights, outlets, and a fireplace. Cabin 1 has a twin bed, 1 bunk bed, and a queen (Sleeps 5). $75 a night plus a small booking fee online is a great deal(in 2018). Staff keeps the facilities clean and they are very helpful and friendly.

Great park with several different trails to hike through. The staff was very helpful in making sure we knew where we were going before starting our trek. While hiking late on a Sunday afternoon, it was pretty quiet, and we only ran in to people one time towards the end of our hike. There were nice views of the river, too. Just make sure to dress appropriately and to check for ticks after leaving, but this goes for lots of woodland areas, especially in the Northeast.

This is a beautiful park in a quiet corner of the state, a magnificent landscape straddling the Deerfield and Cold Rivers. The campground is great and well situated, particularly the lower section that lies among towering white pines. There is a noteworthy hike, of moderate length and difficulty, that passes through impressive old growth forest. If you are in decent shape I would recommend it. There are historic, rustic cabins that you can rent out year round! It is really a little gem of a place.

Lovely, small, well forested campground and no big rvs which I appreciated. We stayed two nights and will definitely go back. Well kept facilities and relatively quiet overall. I loved the woods!

Great place to go hiking, fishing and camping. The route to thumper mountain, todd mountain and clark mountain can be found here as well.

In early February stunning views with snow and ice covered river snaking between mountains. Signs of the bear country are also inspiring!

Hiked here twice. Once in May and once in September. Beautiful forest with very old trees.

Such a gorgeous drive up the trail. Great views of the waters and rocks with the sun peaking through the barks of tall trees.

Well maintained campground in a cool location along a beautiful river. Campsites are close together but the walk in sites are pretty nice and located very close to parking.

Absolutely beautiful! Loved the hiking and the falling asleep to the burbling Cold River. The rangers are friendly and helpful. All the facilities are clean and well maintained. Thanks for a great trip!

Pro-tip: the directions from the south and east on Google Maps are not correct. Don't take 8A. Take 91 to Route 2. Much quicker and easier

Set up your reservation for camping. Some sites are pretty tight for a large tent. But they all have a campfire ring, picnic table and bear box. The cold river runs through it, perfect for wading splashing and letting little kids build their own dams, only to be washed away by the rain. We didn't see bears but we did see squirrels, chipmunks, a climbing porcupine, eagles and hawks. Trails could use a little cleaning up, but you are far away from everything in the woods here

Great camping, hiking and river fun to be had! Some of the trees in the State Forest even have the King's Mark on them!
