Skyline Scenic Area

Great trail. We took the yellow diamond the long way up. Beautiful trees and rocks,well marked trails with the exception of 1 that had fallen down. Either way it's a loop so it's easy to navigate.
Saw a few whitetailed deer too! Beautiful views and loved the rock sofa at the top!

Some areas are flat But many areas straight up hill around or on jagged rocks. Well marked around the yellow diamond trails, well groomed & clean. Totally awesome hike with my friend today. Bring water with you to stop & gaze at scenic view, rock walls, old huge 4 post type trees & old man made stone bridge, with twisty dirt/ledge culvert underneath (filled with spiderwebs). Saw hawks flying & squawking. Heard many birds chirping & saw a few chipmunks & crows. Some mushrooms growing around & on trees. Many walnut trees. What a beautiful 1.5 mile hike. Loved it.

Love this trail!! Usually never see anyone on it and it's not too steep but not flat either. Excellent place to find cool mushrooms in the fall! Lots of neat lichens, some orchids, and an interesting variety of trees as well. It's a shame how much broken glass and garbage is left by the fire pit near the top though. Shame on you mfers.

Trail was well maintained. Scenic overlooks were slightly blocked by trees but still nice. Took us almost 2 hours to do this hike with the kids (which included a 15 min snack break!) Not an easy hike, there were several small areas scaling rocks, but we enjoyed it!

Beautiful place to go for a short or long hike depending on the train you like. The top is a forested for a really nice view and trails seem a bit unmaintanied at times but over all this is just a really nice way to get lost and enjoy nature. The trails get very muddy and slippery just as a warning for anyone who expects to be hiking during rainy days.

My favorite place to hike in town. Challenging enough, very private and not crowded. Stunning views from the top of the major cities surrounding us. Great spot to watch surrounding towns' fireworks from a different point of view. Well marked, highly recommend!

Great trail. Really easy hike along. Go to trail on left and follow to top. It goes up a cliff and along a ridge (go to the left) to a really nice scenic outcrop. You can see both Hartford and Springfield from the top. It's good in winter and summer. Whoever is maintaining it does a great job.

Great little hike! Not much of a view from the top, but it's quiet and beautiful... Plus our dog loves this hike! (that's all that matters.. Right?)

Fun quick hike. Moderate to easy, takes about 30-40 mins to do the loop. Yellow trail is well marked, but there are lots of unmarked trials. View is Ehh.

Gorgeous trail, easy to moderate hiking loop with clear trail markers. Took about 45 minutes.

Nice little loop. Great view of the valley up top.

Very relaxing but challenging hiking environment
