Dean Pond Day Use Area

Great spot for fishing, hiking, and biking. The main gates are closed, but the park remains open. DCR seems to no longer maintain the park other than mowing. There is a huge parking lot, a pavilion, restrooms that are closed, a sandy beach, and grills. This looks like it could be a gem if they reopen, staff, and maintain the grounds

Great place to walk!

This place has endless potential. The waterfall gives the place the option for a water park, the circle parking lot can be converted into a race track, and the hill in the back can be cleared out into a ski slope in the winter! With the right people and the right price, we can get these ideas off the ground!

Nice quiet place, nice for fishing or just stopping and having your lunch by the water.

This park is closed all year round but many still come to enjoy the trails, water, and the view... Mostly locals around but beware it does have lots of wildlife from squirrels to bears.

Beautiful setting but rustic and in need of some TLC. The walk around the pond is easy in spots and difficult in others. Bring a walking stick with you for balance over uneven and sloping trails. This place would be lovely for a picnic in the summer!

Please pick up your trash when you leave. Potheads win because alcoholics always leave their empties all over the park. Look, everyone knows you’re a drunk, don’t be a drunk who litters your nasty plastic nip bottles and cans all over nature. Put them in your pocket and toss them in the trash at cumbys when you stop for cigarettes.
