Safeway Pharmacy

I’ve gotten my prescriptions here for quite awhile. I’ve not had issues that other reviewers posted. I do wish they had chairs and maybe a number system, but otherwise everyone has been very kind and doing the best they can.

Safeway Pharmacy is a great place to get prescriptions from, it's kinda 1 stop shopping, if your away from home you simply tell the Pharmacy where you will be and the Safeway store there will fill your prescriptions until you return home, I once was very sick and the Safeway pharmacist filled a weeks worth of pills for me because at the time I didnt know how (thank you Phil)

I just got to the store with a prescription given to ny husband by the ER doc. The pharmacy was closing. They filled it for us right then and there. They went above and beyond and I can't thank the staff enough for that!

I love going to this pharmacy the staff there is so awesome, best pharmacy and staff in McMinnville.

I called at noon. They said my prescription was being taken care of. I called again at 4 to see if it was done, they said it was done i had two items. I let them know it was three. They said no it was two. They were really snappy and rude about it. I asked them to please check...what do you know...it was three items...oh and now my wait was an hour. It wouldn't be done until 5. I asked if i could have it any sooner and they said that was where i was in the line. They seemed really stressed out so i let it go. I called at 5:15 before heading out to see if it was done. AGAIN they couldn't find the third item and said I would have to wait until 6. I get up at 2 am for work. I'm in bed by 6 usually....but i'm staying up....and if i call back at 6 and they have me wait LONGER, i'm going to be pissed. This is my first time using this pharmacy....and it been a frustrating experience. Which makes me sad because when i went to drop my prescription off yesterday they were really nice and helpful and i was excited to switch pharmacies! I've never had these issues at the Fred Meyer Pharmacy in Newberg. Maybe they need more staffing? I hate to see people so stressed and I hate staying up late...

My doctor sent in a new prescription for me; I broke four ribs. I called to make sure my son could pick it up for me and all I heard was "rude" (tone of voice). I can't figure out why, if it's kind of an emergency to get some pain relief on board, why it might take two hours to fill a prescription? Is that necessary? I know there is absolutely no need to have a tone of voice that tells you "you interrupting my day?" or "why are you even calling me right now; don't you know that I'm busy?" or we can't stop what we are doing to help you sooner than anyone else?". I know it's covid season (flu), and everyone is all uptight because they have to wear a mask to keep from getting covid (flu) but if you're sick, you should be home. Don't you dare come to the pharmacy if you're a carrier!

This safeway pharmacy is a joke and being run by the elderly! Incompetent elderly! Watch out for mistakes and having to call in multiple time to get a prescription refilled. Pharmacist took it upon herself to change my refill to a more costly one. THAT'S BALL'S for ya!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY!

My husband and I went to Safeway today to get covid vaccines. Their website says walk-ins are
always welcome. We filled out our paperwork and when we went to turn it in, we were told they didn't do walk-ins on Fridays. It would have been nice to know. I guess they just make their own rules whenever it suits them. Funny thing is there were appointments available that afternoon. Bad customer service. We went to Albertsons and got our shots very quickly. Won't go back to Safeway.

I made an appointment online for my daughter to receive the first COVID vaccine this morning, drove 20 min and then waited in line for another 20 min only to be told that they don't have any in stock. The cashier was very kind however the pharmacist pushed her out of the way to "deal with me" and she was very rude and abrupt. I understand that they are busy but when a customer is not behaving rudely it's very disappointing that the pharmacist would feel it necessary to speak to anyone in this manner. I recommend taking your pharmacy needs elsewhere.
