SWEAT is a wicked awesome studio- the best. Krystal and her team have cultivated an environment that encourages authenticity and soul - A place where all are welcome just as they are. Walk in and feel the love and sunshine - peace awaits.

SWEAT Power Yoga is a welcoming and inspiring family of yogis who lift one another up and promote self-love, healing, and growth. As a lover of Bikram yoga (the 26 poses, the extreme heat, and the intensity), I was originally skeptical that I would like a more flowy, vibey style of yoga in a less heated environment. But, I went anyway, and I was nothing but thrilled to find a community of strong, encouraging [mostly] women. I have found my time at SWEAT to be energizing and rejuvenating. I lean on my practice to center and calm me.

During COVID-19, it has been stressful not feeling fully in control of my routine. While we're all stuck at home, exercise seems pretty difficult--especially if going to a heated studio is your jam! Though SWEAT was initially closed at the outset of the pandemic (as they should be!), they found ways for us to practice safely remotely/digitally through online streaming classes. Then, they transitioned to outdoor practice in a park. Finally, the added in-studio pod/group programming with social distancing (and mask use and specific procedures in the lobby).

I have been impressed with how the SWEAT team has adjusted to pandemic life. And I've always been impressed with their use of technology (they have the MindBody app, so you can buy class packs and schedule classes online or from the MindBody mobile app).

I recently tried the Roll and Flow program (with Krystal) and the Weighted Flow program (with Susan)--both were excellent. Roll and Flow is all about using tiny balls to roll stress points in your body (there are scientific words involved... I don't know them... something about myofascial release...). It was quite relaxing and helpful! I definitely felt the release of muscle tension. Weighted Flow is all about using ~1 pound weighted balls throughout the yoga flow--you'd be surprised at how much two seemingly lightweight balls can buff you up in a couple weeks! It was a true workout in the best of ways.

Next, I can't finish this review without mentioning the holiday sessions. Thanksgiving session was, by far, one of the best parts of my year last year. If I recall, it was a 90-minute session (right?! I love those... if it wasn't, it just felt like it!)--it featured Susan's epic rock playlist, Bon Jovi and all. And it had this togetherness feeling, all about being a part of a community, and getting somewhere with a shared sense of power. It energized me for the months to come, and I look back at that moment--and the empowerment that I felt that day--as encouragement sometimes. I was SO looking forward to this year's Thanksgiving session, but COVID is taking it away for now. Nevertheless, when we're back to normal, I can't wait for more of these special holiday programs. There aren't many other things I'd rather be doing than replenishing my soul with the inspiring words of the SWEAT instructors.

On that note, it's apropos to mention that all of the instructors are fabulous, and they each have their own style. Krystal is uplifting with the meditations she brings to the practice--she makes you feel thoughtful in what you're doing. Susan is like a badass mom who makes you feel like a rockstar. Nicole is quirky and always brings light and joy to the room--she is great at pointing out the physicality of the work... what muscles, what sensations. Ben is helpful and all about betterment--he's a champ at suggesting adjustments and ways to deepen a pose.

I couldn't recommend the SWEAT studio enough. Great crew, great vibe, great space!

SWEAT is the most amazing studio you will step into. Every time I leave class, I feel a million times better than when I walked through the door. The teachers are great and give you as much guidance as you need. They are constantly innovating and keeping things fresh, but are also great at sticking to their roots and doing what they do best. Just an amazing studio all-around!

I went back to in-studio classes today for the first time in over a year. I was a bit hesitant about wearing a mask during a hot yoga practice, but given the intensity of the workout, I completely forgot I had it on! As always, Krystal is amazing and has taken every precaution to resume classes safely with the well-being of the SWEAT community as her top priority. So good to be back!

Doing yoga here has contributed so much to my mental health. Physical health too, but for me the mental health benefits are huge. Bonus is that they offer live online classes, which allows me to attend more often than I otherwise could, as I've moved farther away from the studio. Honestly all of the teachers are great!

Started at the beginning of Sweat and life does sometimes pull me away but no matter how much time it always feels like home to flow with this community! Forever grateful

I'm so happy I found SWEAT! It has been just what I've needed, mentally and physically.

I just started practicing yoga a month or so ago. I have found the teachers seem very in-tune with the skill level of the yogis in the class and adjust their cues accordingly. Their attentive instruction has made me feel comfortable being inexperienced and new.

Practicing here has taught me to calm my mind and be present, more than I ever knew I needed. It has been a great source of anxiety relief, especially during the pandemic.

They have been very good about social distancing and sanitizing. I have had a chance to attend both their outdoor and indoor classes. They are going above and beyond to ensure everyone is keeping safe.

This studio made me fall in love in yoga. I primarily went to Nicole's evening classes, and she was incredible. I had only done yoga once before but my experience at SWEAT Power Yoga has turned me into a lifelong yogi :) Many thanks to Nicole and Krystal for providing a consistent atmosphere of wellness, inclusiveness, and warmth.

I’m so happy I found this studio and wish I found it sooner. Being unable to be in class during covid was a long unwanted break from practicing and this is a perfect place to regain strength, healing and centering. The teachers are welcoming and very consistent. The classes are accessible and are easily modifiable for all levels. Great for beginners or the advanced practitioners. All classes follow the same flow asanas if predictability is your thing. It has allowed be to focus and strengthen specific poses. Thank you Sweat for helping me heal after covid and having my babies. You have been a friend and retreat in the midst of a bit of chaos!

SWEAT is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I have been coming to SWEAT since 2017. The staff is incredible, the environment is relaxing and the practice is perfect! Although there are times that life gets busy and it is hard to prioritize ourselves, when I find my way back to SWEAT, and I always do, it is exactly what I needed!

Beautiful studio filled with wonderful people! Every instructor I’ve had has been knowledgeable & motivating. Krystal & Shannon are such caring, positive & inspiring women! If you love hot vinyasa flow, you’ll love this practice. I also enjoy slowing down & getting a deep stretch w/Jody’s Restore & Renew class.

I love love love this place!!

No doubt about it - You will get a work out, feel rejuvenated and love every second of yoga at Sweat. The classes are intense but also inspiring and wonderful. It might be crowded so get there early or reserve your spot online ahead of time.

I definitely recommend a class with Crystal. She is inspiring and pushes you to really go the extra step.

I go to Hot Yoga every week in Manhattan and visited my boyfriends family in Massachusetts/wanted to find a great yoga place to keep coming back to when we visited! This place is great and was an extremely challenging class, plus the instructors are very welcoming. Highly recommend this place. Also its very clean in there- hard to keep a hot yoga studio so pristine!

I have always enjoyed exercise but definitely was not a yoga person. Struggled in the past here and there with motivation and injuries. I did not expect it but committing to a (slightly more than) regular practice at SWEAT has by far the best thing I have done for myself. All you have to do is show up

I absolutely love everything about this studio and the community it provides from the moment I walked in, met Susan (who led the class I took) to chatting with Krystal after.
I cannot wait to go back and immerse myself into this community further.

HIGHLY recommend. :)

Sweat is a place of healing, and if you are looking for a positive atmosphere look no further. Here at sweat you will find the space to grow and become stronger in every aspect. Every teacher here has an incredible energy that overflows into the practice. Not only is this space incredibly inspiring, but very astetically pleasing. Come and see what this place can hold for you.
