Rise has been around for a minute now and I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews. Every single top restaurant in the area uses their bread so I already knew they were putting out high quality products. After trying their sour dough chocolate chip cookie crumbled on coffee icecream at a food event this weekend I had to go and find the full cookie to really experience.
Best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had.
The butter croissant was perfection and the cardamom bun was equally delicious.
Rise is the spot for sure

Every baked good they make is top notch, perfect tasting. 👌🏻 Pastries are all excellent, and the cinnamon raisin bread on Tuesdays is the yummiest bread ever served with butter. Come on a rainy morning at opening time for good parking and good vibes. ✨

One of the greatest smells is that of baked goods in the morning. Whether you're looking for a breakfast sandwich, a cinnamon raisin loaf, or a sweet pastry, Rise Backery has you covered. Found in West Greenville, this quaint backery will have you returning again and again to try their pretty extensive menu. I would recommend the Cardamom Buns. A well-known pastry in Sweden, this cousin of the Cinnamon Roll is full of baking spices that bring out new combinations of flavors you many never have tried. It's the closest thing I've had to a cardimum bun from Sweden. Have one of these with a cup of bridge city coffee, and you will be a happy camper. This place will definitely turn you into a regular! Do recommend.

We love this place! It’s not cheap, but it’s for a good reason. Ham and butter baguette is my go to, but their cinnamon roll (when it’s available) it amazing as well. Staff is always so friendly and happy to answer questions. If you’re looking for good quality baked goods and that mom and pop shop feel you have to come here. Picture is their grilled cheese- also amazing!

By far, this is the best French bread in the Greenville area. The crust is amazing. It is obvious that from the flour selection, maturation and baking phase, every detail has been considered to rich this level of excellence. I would advise to get sliced loaf, otherwise you are going to eat too much of it.
The country loaf bread is suculent by itself or can be appreciated with black olive tapenade or salted butter.

Comfy Bakery filled with gorgeous plants and pastries. The barista made me a cappuccino with cardamom per my request to 'surprise me' when he asked if I wanted it flavored. It was delicious!! I also got a morning bun, it is like a lighter cinnamon bun. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back soon, with friends. ❤

I love this place so much. Their sourdough country loaf is now a staple in my house, and I can never resist their pastries when I visit. My favorites are their morning buns, everything danish and cardamom buns. You really can't go wrong though! They also serve local coffee and are always so pleasant to interact with. You are seriously missing out if you don't pay them a visit!

FIVE STARS. Only thing I’d add to improve is more seating options inside or a few tables for seating outside.
They have a wooden bar top abutting the front windows with approximately 8 stools for seating. A very low key minimalist solution!

The bakery options are curated to about 12 options of utmost quality, along with several types of sourdough or baguette style loaves. We ordered the morning bun, hazelnut bun, and cardamom bun. All of them were delicious and the hazelnut and cardamom options had a beautiful design. You could tell the bakers at this store have reached Pro level. Absolutely delighted with our purchases and will be back again soon (as soon as possible).
Prices were approachable and on par with other options in Greenville (Bake House et al). $4.50 or less for most of the options mentioned above.
Staff are friendly and efficient. I liked the industrial, but tasteful aprons they were wearing. They also had some fun local and artisanal drink options in a small cooler, as well as hot coffee (think it might have been sourced from Bridge City Coffee).
Highly recommend. This is a new favorite!

Favorite treat in the village. Cardamom buns are my absolute weak spot but everything is exceptional. They have a special roast coffee that is rich and dark and pairs perfectly with the pastries. Incredibly helpful, friendly, and quick moving staff. Ham & butter and Fig & Brie sandwiches are very good but nothing beats the grilled cheese with ham when they are offering it. Breads are really good and last 4 or 5 days with care, if you can wait that long to eat it all!

I have been enjoying Rise since they opened. My favorite thing to get there is one of their savory croissants like the ham and cheese croissant. The croissants are authentic and fresh not frozen on par with the ones I had in France. We also love their bread. This place is the real deal I am so grateful to have them here.

Stopped in after seeing decorations outside celebration their 1yr anniversary. I'm glad we did! It's nice inside and spacious for the area they have there. Friendly staff answered any questions we had, and we had a few because they have several items! Breads, pastries, and coffee, too. I ended up getting the Pan au Raisin, Morning Bun, Hazelnut Bun, Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookie, and last but not least a Everything Danish. I'll post pics of everything except the Everything Danish and Chocolate Chip Cookie. Because I ate them first lol They were so good. The Danish was my favorite of all, so much flavor in one square! Yum!
Definitely will be back to try the bread.

I lived in France for two years and this is the closest thing I can find to an authentic French boulangerie. I haven't been able to eat bread in the states because of how it's made with poor ingredients, but Rise uses quality ingredients and I'm able to enjoy bread and pastries for the first time since I've been back. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!!!

This was our 1st time at Rise Bakery.
There was a large selection to choose from. We bought a boule, some croissants and a few misc Pastries. We enjoyed them all. The customer service was great as well.
We will definitely be back.

We first had the opportunity to savor the country loaf when we dined at Between the Trees in the Gran Bohemian hotel. After that, we knew we needed to visit the place of its birth at Rise Bakery where we indulged in not just one but two of their signature baguette sandwiches: the Fig and Brie along with the Ham and Butter which we chased with tow delightful drinks: an espresso tonic hibiscus and a mocha oat milk iced latte. Don’t forget to take a Seeded Boule with you or one of their other fresh baked goods. Whether you are driving down Pendleton St. or just passing through downtown Greenville, stopping to savor the succulent treats offered by Rise Bakery is a no brainer!

I enjoyed the most amazing raisin pastry that melted in my mouth. I don’t want to eat anything else today because the taste of the pastry still lingers and I want to savor it as long as possible. It was THAT good.

Rise Bakery has turned me into a bread addict. The everything loaf is my favorite, but everything is drool-worthy and the smells are heavenly. Definitely a must-stop when visiting!

We’ve been to Rise Bakery a handful of times, and have never been disappointed. The variety and freshness is unbeatable. So glad we were introduced to them! They have sweet baked goods, along with savory. The cream cheese and chive is hands down my favorite. Very sweet people working there, too. Very helpful!
