In town from Colorado, had lunch here. Food was good, people behind the counter were fine, not rude or hurrying in anyway! The history on the walls was neat to see, and the first cash only place I've been too in a long while, would go back for another seafood sandwhich!

Hi my name is Cheryl and I work as an Energy broker. I got a chance to work in the town I live, West Springfield. So I ,of course wanted to save $$$ for all my favorite places! Especially the small business owners. The Celery Stalk is only about 5 min walk. My daughter and I are very picky eaters and always can find something delicious here! It's very comfortable and friendly atmosphere are the perfect place for lunch. We love their Mac and cheese w/ any kind of chicken. The owner Mr. O'Connor is a kind gentleman that gave me choc chip cookies as we finished up our business. He also gave a great referral for me to save his friend some money $$$ over at the Ale house in Springfield!

Don't let the size of this tiny place fool you, the food is always amazing and it's always made fresh to order. I always order a bowl of cheeseburger chowder and a chicken salad pita. I believe it was $14.45 (11-28-22) Those are my go-to, however, the minestrone is another of my favorites. The chowder goes fast so I recommend if you want to try it, go early or do a phone order. The service is wonderful and very fast. To be completely honest I have personally never had a single complaint about this place. It's one of my favorites! Delish!

Been going here for years. This place is older than I am. The sandwiches remind me of the ones my mom made when I was younger. Slice of pickle, cheeseburger chowder, and ham salad sandwich. There are others I have gotten from the menu and very nostalgia and family loving place. Go early though. That cheeseburger chowda (er) runs out quickly. Get a bowl or a cup.

The best soup/sandwiches in the area and that I’ve ever had in my life. Highly recommend.

To everyone saying the owner is rude or abrasive, you’re incorrect. He’s just efficient in his operation. He’s not there to hold your hand throughout the very easy purchasing process. Once you become a regular you see he’s pretty nice and tries to treat the regulars kindly.

You will not get a sandwich or grinder anywhere else in the area that is fresher nor tastier than here. The meats are fresh deli sliced to order. All of the toppings are fresh. There is a generous selection of soups, drinks, and chips. The staff is always friendly and the owner is very efficient in his operation. He recognizes his regulars and treats them well. The business is cash only, which is great because it allows for lower prices for the customer. There's an ATM inside that dispenses in $20 increments only. Seating is limited to about 12 tables. There are a couple picnic benches outside, too.

My uncle kept on telling me to come to this little place. He said the food was delicious and the price was very good and reasonable. My hubby and I was very hungry and I suggested to him to take me here.

Walking in I felt like an old school feel of the 60’s. We were looking around and saw amazing sport items, pictures, card display. I looked at my hubby and we were already amazed as he is a fan of Collecton of sport.

We ordered our cheeseburger soup, meatballs sandwich, seafood sandwich. The staff was on point with service. The owner very observant with the quality of service with exceptional service to the attention of his customers.

The food was fresh clean and very quickly served.

I definitely had to tip both the jar and the waitress that took our order. Mr and Mrs Wilson love this place and we will definitely be back next time with my uncle.

I'm vegetarian, so my choices are limited, but their cream of broccoli soup is the best I've ever tasted. CASH ONLY, but there us an ATM located inside the store.

I dined at Celery Stalk a couple of days ago. I ordered a ham and cheese grinder and a cup of chili. The chili was made from scatch...non of the canned stuff!!! The ham and cheese grinder was delicious!!! If you're ever in West Springfield Massachusetts, stop by the Celery Stalk for a nice dining experience.

I have been coming here since I was a little girl and the food does not disappoint!! They have the best Tortellini Soup and Meatball Grinders! The sauce on the meatball is soo good and the Tortellini Soup actually has flavor!

Small restaurant but has amazing soups and sandwiches. This place has been around for a very long time and the food and service here makes it easy to see why.

Prices are great here as well, I often get a large grinder/chips/soda for around the $10 range and it's a generous serving. Half a large grinder makes enough for lunch and then I'll take the 2nd half home and make it dinner later at night.

This place has been the same for ever so awesome the food is so good and the owner has rudeness to him that I love but yet so polite thanks for all the years you've been here

Great little spot! The soup and sandwiches are really good, and fresh! Prices are great too. The owner is not as bad as everyone says, just don't try to pay with a credit card. There's an ATM inside for those who need it.

Great food, great prices, always fresh....owner is great and runs an efficient business. People need to get their orders and be on their way. If you want a kiss and a hug with your lunch this isn’t he place. If you want a fresh delicious lunch at good prices then this is the spot. Best soups in town by far....

Been going there since I was a teenager. The owner reminds me of the soup nazi on sienfeld he isn't rude it just gets super busy in there and he knows people are on a schedule. He gets you in and out quickly. I appreciate that! Go on off times and he's actually quite humorous! Food is absolutely amazing!
