Gibbet Hill Grill

This is a really wonderful restaurant located on a beautiful farm. Looks like a great special event space. Our food was very good. I enjoyed a cup of clam chowder and I also ordered the Salmon. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the eggplant puree....kind of woody tasting. But the rest was fine. Others at our table enjoyed the halibut and the chicken pot pie. My only complaint about the evening was that the atmosphere is loud. We were at a corner able and still....very loud and felt like we had to shout to hear each other. Staff was very friendly and pleasant.

I loved this place! Service was outstanding, the food was amazing, and the place itself is beautiful. It was really a pleasant experience. If you are around this area, please go there!

What's not to love about this place. Food and service was great. We will be back to try more of the different dishes. Fish was prepared perfectly and the lamb was sooooo good.

Wow, what a fantastic meal and experience. My mom was in town visiting and I wanted to take her somewhere special for an early dinner. I had Gibbet Hill recommended to me multiple times and I thought it was the perfect place. We called 2 hours in advance to make a reservation, and thank goodness we did, as it was incredibly busy!

The atmosphere is cozy, the fireplace was going, snow was flurrying outside...it made for such a lovely and cozy vibe! We both ordered the clam chowder to start and it was delicious! I wish there was a bit more to it (clams and potatoes were a bit lacking) but the flavor was absolutely outstanding. For my meal, I ordered steak tips with two sides: Mac and cheese and maple glazed carrots. Everything was stellar. The flavor of the steak tips was incredible and they were cooked perfectly. The sides were very good as well, although I wished the mac and cheese had a bit more flavor- it was still very creamy with the right amount of breadcrumbs.

We were too full to order a dessert, but I'm hoping to try one when we return! This isn't an inexpensive place, but I feel all the prices are more than fair for the quality and portion size. It's the perfect place for a special meal or date night, especially with the beautiful views!

Everything we had was absolutely delicious, everything tasted so fresh. I recommend getting the braised beef for the appetizer, it was amazing, and make sure you get lots of veggies because they’re the best. Their cocktails are also delicious, make sure you try them out.

First time here, the food was mouthwatering, ordered, some duck meat and fried Brussels sprouts, sirloin steak 🥩 and cake for desert… had a bottle of wine and Miranda knew what she was offering from wine selection to the food. great ambiance … I am definitely coming back.

Excellent food in a fun, barn-like atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and attentive. We all had steak in various forms. All were cooked perfectly to order. Side dishes were yummy as well... And the bread is excellent. The house salad appetizer is perfect size and very fresh.

We held a birthday dinner with 10 attendees. It was a Saturday night so it was completely full. The service started very slow at first. Took forever to get drink order in, but once we did things moved along at a faster clip. The food was great! We had the duck - super tender, steaks, and burgers. The burgers were huge and tasty! The appetizer Brussels sprouts were delicious. The only complaint was the crab dip. There was no crab meat - just creamy bland cheese. The gluten free menu is really good. Carrot cake for dessert was moist and a huge portion. We sat upstairs by the fireplace which was a nice ambiance but I wonder if a dumb waiter or elevator would help the servers be more efficient rather than carrying everything up and down the stairs. Even adding a small bar upstairs would help everyone. That likely also contributes to slower service. If iyou sit upstairs bring your patience — and maybe hit the bar first and carry your own drink upstairs!

Amazing! First time and can't wait to come back. Service from Aaron was on point! Even the lady who sat us was super friendly and upbeat. Our meals were paced well and they didn't disappoint.

Starters: clam chowder, Ceasar salad, beef tartare, and crab cake.

Lunch: Ceasars salad with the most AMAZING steak tips cooked perfectly. Chicken pot pie with a tasteful crust.

Atmosphere is warm and scenery is serene. We will be back

Delightful atmosphere. Service attentive and on point. Entrees cover a wide array, reasonably well executed. Ingredient quality superb. Off-menu cocktail standards fair, stick to their special cocktails. Apps uneven. Ambiance top notch. Will dine again.

Exceptional, upscale yet casual farm-fresh food. Beautiful views of adjoining hillside, trees, & cattle when light out. Fireplace, warmth and delightful bar area too. Recommend highly. You do need reservations many times. Special delight.

Also A+ events building & scenery for weddings, graduations, anniversaries, birthdays, and other celebrations. Would also be appropriate for special memorial service meal with loved ones.

Dined here twice with my husband and it's just the best. Food is superb, cocktails are fantastic, and service is great. Worth the price for sure. We absolutely love the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The filling of the grilled cheese is switched up throughout the year but it's still incredibly good. I thoroughly enjoyed the red wine-braised short rib entrée and my husband had a perfectly done steak.

This venue never disappoints. The food is always very good. The atmosphere is great, and the service phenomenal, coome on down.

A rustic but modern place located on a sprawling 300+ acre farm with rolling hills and cattle grazing, almost like some type of English novel. The staff from the moment that you step in gives you the biggest smile and welcome that warms your heart., (Sometimes all people need is a friendly smile) to make their day. The atmosphere is truly remarkable, it's amazing that they turned a barn to a 5 star restaurant in my humble opinion. The signature drinks are to die for, fell in love with the GATEKEEPER!!! A must try. Food was cooked perfect to my order. The service was fantastic, where we felt like she just had our table to serve and no one else. Thank you for that Tiffany!!! We have family in Groton and we make it apparent when we come to visit that we always eat there., It's worth the wait it's worth the money. Treat your family and yourself. Enjoy and Cheers

Incredible food and AMAZING service! Dishes were excellent, Elizabeth took care of us, her service is unparalleled! Most definitely returning to see Elizabeth and try the rest of the menu!

This is a really special place to visit, one the better restaurants I have been to from the service, to the venue, to the food and way the food is sourced and prepared. Our server was fast and friendly with lots of recommendations. I got the sirloin tip steaks medium rare and they were amazing. Lots of wine options, drinks options, fresh locally grown vegetables and lots of dessert options. Try this place out if you have the opportunity. Came back a second time and had the roasted chicken. Absolutely amazing once again, I really like coming here.

Great atmosphere, wonderful views, tasty food, excellent service! I highly recommend. Went there without reservations and had to wait for 50 minutes to be seated but it was totally worth it. Plus you can walk on grounds and enjoy the scenery while waiting.
