I had a pre-purchase inspection done by Scott’s before buying a used car. It was fairly expensive at $260, but they provided a lot of value in the report and they were able to do it the same day I called. The report was delivered electronically and they provided pictures and details of the issues they found. The shop was impressively clean and organized. I’d take my vehicle there to have it worked on.

The brakes went out on my 1991 Ford Bronco near McMinnville before Christmas. A friend recommended Scott’s Automotive, who did an excellent job all the way around completely rebuilding pretty much the entire brake system to get the vehicle back to me in time for Christmas. The folks at Scott’s Automotive were polite, knowledgeable and made sure I understood everything. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my family or friends.

I have used Scott’s for, at least, the last 15 years. My vehicle is over 20 years old. I had a number of mechanics, in the beginning but, once I found Scott’s, I never changed. The vehicle is still driving very nicely and cost, of the work, has been very competitive.

My family had taken their vehicles to Scott’s before but this was my first time taking one of my own. Everyone was very helpful and always kept me in the loop of what was going on. After inspection they sent me a text link with pictures and details of everything they had looked at and the results of what they found. They got the car fixed quickly and it runs great! They even text me a few days later to make sure everything is going well with my car! Amazing customer service, I definitely recommend everyone to this shop.

I took my sons forester in for an engine power issue. The team at Scott’s automotive found the problem, resolved it, and did a thorough general inspection with recommended issues that will need and the severity/risk/need for those items needing fixing. I have been brining my vehicles to Scott’s for years, so was bummed when I moved out of the area and wasn’t able to use their services any longer. As soon as I moved back to Yamhill county I reached out for some routine maintenance on my truck. The team at Scott’s was able to get my vehicle in quickly, and did a fantastic job with the services I had requested. While in the shop, a few additional maintenance pieces were identified, the team was very thorough in explaining what the severity was, and how urgently things needed to be replaced (or not)! Scott and team deliver top notch service for your vehicle, and for you as a customer. 10/10 recommend, and Scott’s has earned a customer for life.

Went to a dealership to have an oil change and tire rotation was informed of cooling system leak, needed a test to find it , was then informed that I needed a new engine. There was never any sign or issues with my car indicating that a new engine was needed. Had it towed to Scott’s automotive, they checked everything out and found nothing wrong with my engine! From now on my family will be going to Scott’s automotive for any car repairs.

Sent my truck in for a squeaky front end. They took care of the squeak and changed my oil, as well as an overall inspection of my truck. Very happy with the service and communication. I’ll be using them again.

I am very pleased with the work performed at Scott’s automotive. They replaced the valve cover gaskets on my 4runner this week and did an excellent job. From dealing with Devon in the office, to the repair that the guys did in the shop, I am very happy and impressed with their work. They did a nice, clean job at a very reasonable price. While this was my first time using Scott's Automotive for my car needs (2014 Toyota Camry), they came highly recommended by my family. Scott's uses high quality parts, don't seek to overcharge or misrepresent your car needs, and work with you to identify the best options for your purchase of their services.

Their team are effective and knowledgeable communicators, honest about expectations of the labor and deliver on those expectations, and simply good at what they do.

While I don't live in or near McMinnville, I know that I have a team of mechanics I can trust and will continue to bring my business here despite the distance.

Normally I go to the dealership for repairs. (Old car. No warranty though). But a close friend who was staying with me earlier in the year was having brake problems and spent like a week checking out all the local shops online and decided Scott's would be an excellent choice. When my power steering was having problems I decided to call Scott's on my friends positive experience. They communicated promptly with me during the process and the work turned out to be less expensive than I was expecting. I would use them again. Old car 2001 Malibu so I know it'll probably need help again in the future.

My vehicle is vintage, 1983. The emission control air pump failed. The staff tracked down and was authorized to order a replacement modification. The changed the broken pump and found the thermostat to be failed open and replaced that. I requested a drive system fluid check and all fluids were topped off. I feel fully confident to drive back to Texas!

This is an awesome mechanic shop. Even if you're a guy like me who likes to work on my own vehicles, its often helpful to get a professional opinion on an issue. I had been having some issues with my car that I couldn't solve. I took my rig to Scott's and they did some diagnostics on it and recommended a course of action. I fixed the part they recommended by myself and my car runs awesome now. I was very impressed with the detailed inspection sheet they provided that showed me they did a thorough checkup and inspection on the various components of my vehicle. Very fair pricing. Check them out, they are worthy of your business.
Update two years later! I just had my pickup in at Scott's. They diagnosed some issues and were collecting parts to do about 2,500 dollars of necessary work on my suspension and brakes. Before starting though, they took a look at a misfiring cylinder that I hadn't even mentioned and discovered that my engine was also on its last legs. They recommended against doing the suspension work unless I also wanted the engine overhauled, effectively recommending themselves out of the 2500 dollar job. I was blessed that these guys put the customer's best interest ahead of profit. I would 100% recommend this shop; they'll treat you well.

These guys are great! I highly recommend them to any other woman who takes care of her own vehicle and wants straight talk and fair prices. I have never felt condescended to or disrespected here. Their vehicle inspections comes with photos and their quotes are always organized and easy to read.

My Nissan Rogue has needed a lot of work in the last couple years and these guys have graciously made room in their busy schedule to rebuild the front end, do the brakes and replace the transmission (during a brutal supply chain shortage I might add). I think they found a burned out lightbulb somewhere too. They're thorough and efficient and they take a lot of the anxiety out of taking my car to the shop.

This was our first time using Scott’s Auto as we are newish to the area. It was easy to make an appointment, drop off/pick up, and to talk about the maintenance needs for our Subaru Outback. We felt the work done was great and a fair price. We will definitely go back for our future car maintenance needs.
