Motel 6 Kingman, AZ - Route 66 West

Was a nice quiet stay. The Rooms have been updated and staff was nice. Pool looked inviting. Hopefully I can take a dip on my way back. Affordable.

Hotel is really good for the price! Room is clean and nice, beds are comfy, everything in workinh order. Front desk staff was kind. BUT! These rooms DO NOT have a refrigerator!

Staying for 6 nights! We came here after a horrible experience at the travel lodge by Wyndham. The front desk staff super welcoming and hospitable! Our room was nice and very clean! I’ve seen comments on here about the tubs, they are a bit old, but they are clean and functional! 10 out 10 of we would recommend this place! ☺☺☺

Making this review this for fellow solo female travelers- I was extremely hesitant staying here for safety purposes but am glad I did instead of having to pay twice as much for a hotel that pretty much offers the same interiors. (I actually found the bedsheets here more comfortable & warm than the ‘nicer hotels’ I’ve stayed at!) I checked in late at night at 10pm and the lady working the front desk at the time was so sweet. I stupidly managed to lock myself out at 11pm when I went to get things from my car and she helped me get back into my hotel room, no judgement or hint of annoyance about having to do this so late at night.

The hotel room itself was clean and comfortable, no smell like others had complained about. I was on the second floor and could not hear anything from my neighbors and the blackout curtains were effective. It seems like this motel really is just a place for travelers to come crash for the night because it was so darn quiet when I was walking about & checking in from 10-11pm.

Now if you are a solo traveler I don’t recommend checking in as late as I did as the parking lot does fill up and you may have to end up park far & walk some ways to your hotel room -which is always a little scary regardless of where you are & there were a few unhoused people milling about just beyond the premises of the property. (Since I checked in so late too I ended up having to pay $20 extra for a double room as all the solo rooms were taken.) But I would recommend that no matter where you stay and to no fault of this establishment.

Manger is a really sweet lady.. Her cleaning ladies are very nice n professional... If ever there was a problem mangerment was quick to fix issues in a timely manner

LOVED IT! Everyone was very welcoming and everything was clean. Quiet and friendly area. A restaurant was right in the same lot. Also, close to the route 66 museum And if you are visiting the Grand Canyon, this is a perfect place to stay. Just an hour and a half away. Can’t get any closer than that. Loved the city Kingman!!!

I stopped to get some sleep and I thought I was going to have to wait for checking in. Nope no wait...

My only complaint is that Burger King is not in walking distance 😂. I've checked out some expensive hotels in SF for my work as an electrician, in comparison these are more roomy than those. My dogs were happy to sleep after their long ordeal in Oakland.

Great location just off of I40, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant called Calico on the property serves amazing food at reasonable prices. Also Calico’s had a selection of Route 66 memorabilia like hats, signs and stickers at a bargain price as compared to all other retail outlets we have seen while on Route 66. An amazing place to stay overnight.

The staff is really nice. Was quiet and clean and right off the highway. Easy o get back on the road. Also had a restaurant on property.

Clean and simple rooms, though some of the flooring in our room was coming up a bit. However, no other complaints. Staff was friendly and professional.

Very good room for the price. Everything was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a 24-hour Chevron across the street and a car was junior which is also beneficial. We had a dog with us, so we stayed here as motel 6 always accommodates animals. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a budget friendly hotel.

Great staff and clean upgraded rooms with the restaurant on site. Been staying here 20 years will not stay anywhere else while I'm in Kingman.

I have been traveling cross country and mostly staying at Motel 6 whenever possible.

This is an excellent choice for a night or a few days, it works very nicely

Very friendly, accommodating, clean, and received a senior discount, There's a location behind the office, that has vending machines, microwave, ice machine, washer, and dryer. I would stay here again. Down the street from Historical Route 66.

I love staying in this location as it is so convenient to and from Santa Fe, NM to Los Angeles. The rooms are good and clean. The lady on reception was very helpful and changed my room when I asked to be closer to reception as a single woman traveling with a dog. That said I was still in the far block of rooms and the wi-fi was not great. Also the bath was VERY old, and looked like it was peeling away ... I know I was only showering but still a little off putting. HOWEVER everything else was GREAT and I had an interaction with the cleaning staff and they were lovely too. AND great rates.

Great room no fridge or microwave but still a great room next door a great restaurant

I stayed here after having to drive 4 extra miles when my previously booked hotel room was given away. Lady at the desk booked me in under a minute. It’s not the Ritz Carlton but it was easy peasy, clean, and safe for me and my 2 year old daughter. May just start staying at Motel 6 from now on!

This is the best, cleanest, NICEST Motel 6 I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. 10/10 will recommend, and will make plans to stay here, whenever I'm in Kingman, whether traveling with my fur babies, or not. The Motel is convenient to the interstate, and to most local restaurants. Staff were so friendly, and helpful. I really can't say enough good things about this location. I'm so very glad I chose to stay here.
