Rutherford's 66 Family Diner

Every time I go here the food is top notch.. The deep fried pork chops are my new go to.. love love love them. The staff is very much on point. My coffee never gets low... I make it a point to stop here when I am passing thru town. (Truck driver)...

Wonderful little gem. Food was great, huge portions, just a fun place with old school charm. Just traveling thru and found this place by accident. Decided to head over to the 66 Festival which was a blast. We didn't know about it but was suggested by our waitress. Wish I knew her name but anyway would like to return again someday!

If you EVER find yourself in Kingman AZ on Route 66, you MUST stop here for a meal. Every part of our stay was great ...food .. atmosphere and service.
Angela was a real treat to have as a server. Total sweetheart that made our visit even better.

Our dishes were not very warm, but when I said something about it, they were very helpful. The taste of the food was amazing so it definitely made up for it. They were extremely busy so I can understand. The service was amazing and I was checked on regularly, but not too much. It was a great experience and I will definitely go back.

Mandy was our enthusiast waitress, since we had been driving for several hours, Rutherford’s was the perfect stop. Food was GREAT!

This is the diner that you want to stop at on your travels! 5 stars not because it’s fancy, but because it’s comfortable and feels like home! Food was great, service was great, ambiance wonderful too. Everything tasted like it was made in house, chicken fried steak was really good and the pancakes were so yummy we had to order some to go to have later too. Even the English muffins tasted like grandma made them. Easy to see why it’s rated so highly. Shop and dine local y’all!

Great food, and even though it was busy our waiter was friendly and checked up on us regularly. Definitely recommend.

The staff Is always so nice, from right when you walk through the door until you leave. They make you feel right at home, food always fresh and amazing never had a meal I didn't like. Had a mom and Pop fell to it. And the prices are absolutely amazing.

Going on our trip to Albuquerque, this was a pretty good halfway point from California. We saw this place as a good place to stop and have breakfast. Service was great! Food was great too! My family and I were not disappointed. I was torn between the chicken fried steak (my favorite) and crunchy French toast. Both a must try. Even my family's food was great! A must stop if passing through.

Enjoyed breakfast very much! Classic diner ~ bustling with authentic atmosphere! Food was delicious ~ had eggs….cooked perfectly!…pancakes, biscuits & gravy….hearty portions, reasonably priced! Our waiter was terrific! And ~ our dogs loved sitting out on the spacious patio!! Pennie & Joe were treated so nicely ~ they had a good time & give tail wags & paws up for Rutherford’s 66 🐾🐾

Traveling through Kingman & we stopped here for dinner. SW chicken sandwich and patty melt were hot, bursting with flavor & very delicious! Took our desserts to go. The carrot cake & apple pie just hit the sweet tooth spot! We are so impressed, we might try breakfast on our way out of town!
(Tell the chefs in the back we loved their music choices!)

What a place! What an experience! Great food… we were on the way to Grand Canyon and we stopped by for lunch. I had a fermi that we were in a American movie….

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - two of the three dishes were amazing but lost a point for the sad omelette
- 5/5 - Country fried steak dinner with sunny side up eggs, mashed potatoes, and English muffin. They were super generous with the sauce which was over the steak and potatoes and it was AMAZING! The steak was thin and tender. The sunny side up eggs were fried well with a nice bite but still wonderfully runny without being oily
- 5/5 - NY Steak 8 oz with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sourdough bread. We asked for the steak medium rare and it was still pink inside, great cook! It has a subtle smoky taste which complimented it well. The bread was nicely buttered and toasted
- 2/5 - Philly cheese steak omelette with hash browns and white bread. The omelette was over cooked and dry. While there was a slice of cheese melted on top, it was quite chewy and had an old oil taste. They provided a salsa which had a bit of acidity but couldn't save the omelette

Ambience: 5/5 - super cozy atmosphere and family vibe. They added extension for the booths.

Service: 5/5 - Danny was super friendly and attentive. Not used to this type of hospitality but it was appreciated :D

Value for price: 5/5 - great meal and wonderful service. On Route 66 which can be extremely touristy but the price was reasonable

I’m rounding up from probably 4.2 or so. Our waitress was super duper sweet and took pretty good care of us. But the cook (and shift lead? And supervisor?) was pretty hateful to both waitresses. We sat at the counter so it was quite easy to hear him barking at them. Plus the less than an A grade from the health inspector score hanging on the wall was a bit concerning.

All of that aside, our food came out relatively quickly and all three of us really enjoyed our meals! The biscuits and gravy, the French toast, the hash browns, the eggs… everything was yummy. I’d gladly go back, though maybe I’ll sit at a booth and pretend the employees all get along. 😉

Recommended to drop in for a bite. Were not disappointed.

Good food and friendly and prompt service. Very chill vibe when I visited mid-day on a weekday.

There is also spacious parking and their bathrooms were clean.

Service was excellent. Had a great waitress. Food was fresh and hot and served nearly right away. Prices reasonable. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Try them out. I think you'll be pleased.
