Cafe Salerno

This is the best mf Italian food on the east coast other than my mother's house. That being said, it looks sketchy. The windows are tinted to hell and the whole outside is just just like something out of the sopranos, underground take u away forever place. I forgot our servers name but she was wonderful. Don't judge this place by the outside it's great. Def get the pizza.

Passing through from up north to Salem - hands down best pasta I’ve had in years. Large portions, just perfect in every way. If you’re in the area give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

I was just passing through on vacation. Decided to givethis place a try. Excellent choice. I actually stopped for Italian food, and ended up eating the meatloaf. Hands down, the best meatloaf I've ever eaten.

Excellent Italian cuisine for a reasonable price. Family-friendly. There is good reason they have steady regulars.

First time here. We heard they had a great Italian Sub. They did not dissapoint! The Fried Ravioli was excellent as well. Mike was on top of everything. Great service, great food. I highly recommend this place.

The owner Mike greeted us! Great guy! His niece Paige works here too. Love the really good family business. Italian sub rocked my world. Fried Ravs, mwa!

The menu didn't have any vegan options but the staff worked with us to make a great dish that was delicious, affordable and filling. The staff were attentive and friendly. The music was perfect too.

Driving through town and we were looking for a local place to eat and decided to give Salerno's a try and we were not disappointed. We had the steak tips, ravioli and the ravioli of the month which was lobster ravioli and everything was excellent. Their ravioli are made locally and they are very filling. The steak tips were excellent and the lobster ravioli was made in a cream sauce and they were perfect. The service was great and you get a lot of food for your money. It looks to be a local favorite so if you are passing thru I recommend stopping here for dinner.

Today’s lunch at Salernos, and it was a great choice. What a place, real down to earth owner, and cook. Recommended by Michael the owner, the Cuban sandwich, and wow, it was good. Definitely will recommend Salernos, clean and prices are not bad at all.

Came in from a quick Google search.. glad I did. Food is delicious.. staff friendly and personable like the old days. Huge portions. Highly recommended. Definitely coming back soon!

Nothing fancy but everything you want. Great comfort food like stuffed turkey dinner. Italian food was nothing special but good. I'll be going back when I get a chance

Bereavement meal following a funeral surprised me by the choice of venue. I was surprised even more about how delicious the food was and the courtesy and attention given the mourners by the owners themselves.

Top knotch pizza, as well as other authentic Italian dishes, and great, super friendly staff. Place is a gem.
