Stopped in as we were driving around the area. We were from out of town and looking for something simple and hearty, and this was highly rated on Google. So glad we did!!
It’s a very cozy place, packed even on a Thursday night, and clearly loved by locals. The soups were amazing (best clam chowder my mother has had) and the entrees were both large and well priced. The waitress, Mary, was lively and kind and the whole restaurant felt very welcoming. Glad to see a family owned restaurant doing so well in this age of chains.
Some specials were sold out however, so get there early if you can!

Another amazing dinner at The Weathervane! They do not take reservations. Have to wait in line most evenings! Fave local spot! Always busy! Our waitress, Laurel, was so kind and efficient!my jumbo shrimp and scallops were delicious! My uncle had his favorite, lobster and scallop casserole! Always fabulous! Super nice dinner!

The weathervane is a great local spot in Hamilton for lunch or dinner and sharing cocktails with friends on a cold night. If you’re longing for a taste of Summer , be sure to try Gubba Rum cocktails, always featured at the weathervane. locally owned, made with certified organic ingredients, Gubba silver rum is infused with real coconut, and Gubba Rum is infused with real vanilla. Both are wicked, smooth!

A locals paradise! The food is excellent but the best part is the wait staff! They are always so friendly and make you feel like you've known them forever. Very much enjoy coming here! Surprising how many people can fit in this tiny dining room! My boyfriend says they have the best steak tips around!

Wow! We had high expectations after hearing about this place from a friend and having already eaten here for brunch, but the dinner…damn. Perfect in every single way and the best dinner we’ve had in the North Shore by a mile. The menu at first glance seems basic, but don’t let that fool you. Mushroom risotto, best I’ve ever had. Pan friend halibut, flaky fish perfection. Desert is not to be skipped either. Anyways, just go here.

It's a small place, and they sit people somewhat close, but the service is great, the drinks are strong, and the food is generous, delicious, and affordable. You won't leave there hungry!

Cozy with consistently good food. Tap beer is always fresh and cold, mixed drinks are leaned into and strong. Owner is most always around to say hello and share some conversation - has a nice, local feel and worth a visit...

Stopped here while traveling through Massachusetts. I recommend the Lobster and Scallop casserole. Service was excellent, courteous, and prompt. I’d give this restaurant 6-stars if I could!

Coming here is always a great deal! Have come for the early bird special dinners. Substantial portion, fresh fish, great drinks! Bring and friend and relax! The atmosphere is vibrant and the wait staff are fast and friendly! They make great recommendations and suggestions for substitutions. And desserts? Oh, my! Definitely bring a friend! Delish!

Had a great meal. I had the haddock casserole and the side salad was huge! My friends baked salmon was cooked perfectly. Our servers Mike and Shelby were also very nice and accommodating.

Everyone has always said "go to the weather vane it is excellent." I delayed and am not happy with myself at all. This place has AMAZING FOOD. The clam chowder was one of the best that I've had and they filled up the bread bowl. This place is very small but homey. The wait staff was very friendly and they seem to have their regulars that they treated like old friends that were visiting their home. I went for lunch during the week so they were not too too busy but I can imagine that dinner time and weekends would be a bit of a wait like everyone says due to the size of the place and the great food/service. The prices, well I would have paid double for what I got. You cannot beat it!

Have been coming here occasionally for 40 years. Excellent comfort food that never changes. It looks almost the same inside as it did in 1980, and it just feels good. Waiters are always friendly.

This place gets 5 stars for hospitality alone. I'm currently sitting in North station waiting for the commuter rail. I called around just to see how late people are serving food until. The nice lady I spoke to on the phone said they stop serving food at 10 but was willing to try and make accommodations just to make sure I could eat. Unfortunately just on my end time was a big factor I'd feel TERRIBLE having people staying at least an hour later just for me. If I was closer I'd take them up on the offer but unfortunately I wasn't. This place has earned my business for as long as I'm in Wenham. I can't attest for the food but if it's anything like the service I just experienced it just be incredible.
