Waterman Grille

Glad to finally have made it here. The food was fantastic. The drinks are very creative, and there were 0 complaints from my party (about anything). The atmosphere is cozy/chill and not too loud on a Sunday evening. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is awesome. Located on the Providence River with panoramic windows. Unless you're sitting in the bar area, there really isn't a bad seat in the house since most of the tables are along the edge by the windows.
The food is amazing and never disappoints. I've been here several times and have never had a bad meal. The service is also excellent. Owned and operated by the Newport Restaurant Group. Their staff is always very professional and courteous. They also have a great rewards program for all their restaurants. I had the hanger steak, and my wife and guests had the swordfish special and the grilled mahi. All cooked perfectly and to our liking. We started off with the mezze platter which was very delicious.
Certainly a great place to go if you live in or around Providence or are just visiting.

Last night we had Katie who was excellent. My favorite drink is the “lavender haze” and I hope it stays on the menu.

The hanger steak and fingerling potatoes were absolutely perfect. What a difference a day makes where I can have a 5 star experience at Waterman and a 1 star experience at Patio on Broadway.

I discovered Waterman Grille a few years back and have never, and I mean never, had a bad experience. The environment is warm and the staff is knowledgeable. They always have something new on the menu for the changing seasons. Whether you sit inside or outside on their beautiful deck, you are in for a fantastic meal. This is a splurge restaurant for me where I always make sure to get an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Also don't forget the cocktails! Even the mocktails available on the menu are delicious. This time we got the shrimp and yucca appetizer, the oxtail and mushroom risotto with salmon entrée, and perfect chocolate tarte for dessert. Always recommend this place for any occasion!

Beautiful place to host a party! I had my baby shower here and it was beautiful. They had brunch and dinners options and we choose the brunch buffet, and the food and drinks were great. Everyone loved the options, and the view of the water from the windows. There was a lot of natural light in the room which made it a wonderful experience during winter. Staff was professional, and Miranda the event planner was a pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond to work out the details. Highly recommend!

Went there last night for a work event and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious!! I ordered salmon and, to my knowledge, everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well! The staff were accommodating and professional. I can only imagine how wonderful it is when it's warm out! I highly recommend!

Went here for the Easter brunch buffet and it was phenomenal. The asparagus was a tad undercooked but that was such a small detail to the whole experience. Delicious spread of pastries, seafood, salads, fruits, and a cutting station. The staff was very polite and professional. Absolutely loved it!

I’ve had muffuletta in NOLA, cheesesteak in Philly and every sandwich in between and I’m having a hard time remembering a better one than the chix salad I just had for brunch today!

Dinner:

Food is always fantastic and the staff are great. My wife and I love coming here for dinner. The views are wonderful as well.

Wedding Event:

Words can't begin to describe how absolutely satisfied I am with the level of service at the Waterman Grille. Huge props and shoutout to Alivia (Event Manager) Alivia was on top of everything and she is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She never seemed bothered by my emails, phone calls or texts. What I loved about her the most was she never made a suggestion or change without first asking if it was what we wanted. She made absolutely sure that the venue looked exactly the way we wanted; so long as we followed the simple rules that she laid out early on. She was amazing. Without knowing it, the friendliness of her personality sold me on this venue. After speaking with her once, there was no hesitation in submitting a deposit and securing the Riverview Room at Waterman Grille. Jason and Adam also deserve a shoutout. They were very attentive, friendly and courteous. They were so incredibly professional and nice also. They somehow bring the food out, remove the plates, silverware and cups, fold your napkins, bring your food and drinks; all without ever noticing them. It was definitely, "Not their first Rodeo." They were on top of it all. Their execution was second to NONE. To the Waterman Grille staff, thank you so very much. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a business in my life. I will 100% book another event here and will recommend it to all of my friends and family.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding dinner than Waterman Grill. The ambiance was enchanting, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was lovely, especially with the scenic view. The outstanding service added to our delight. A special mention to our planner, Alivia Mussulli, who was incredibly sweet and always available for any changes or updates. She made our special day absolutely flawless. Thank you, Alivia, and the entire Waterman Grill team for creating such a memorable experience! Highly recommended.

Perhaps you’ve heard of the “Jewel of the Nile”, well, Waterman Grille is the “Jewel of the Seekonk”!
I have been going there for over four years, and have always had a wonderful experience, but tonight, on a Sunday, after 8pm, which is a tough time to deliver superb excellence, they did, in spades.
From the perfect suggestion on wine, to the best grilled pork chop I had ever enjoyed, the WG shined like the jewel they are.. Thank you Waterman Grill.

Excellent food, service and ambiance! I e had the Swordfish and Steak dishes. Would definitely come again!

We went during restaurant week and it was our first time. The food was delicious and so were the desserts. I got blackened cod with dumplings which were both phenomenal. Desserts are small but grade A. The waitress didn't bring my after dinner drink and later, when asked, said it's because they ran out of that liquor. You'd think that after sitting without a drink for 15 minutes, they would comp the replacement, but no they did not.
All in all it was a good experience and I'll certainly return.

Fantastic food at a reasonable price. Portions are generous; the calamari appetizer is tender and perfectly crisp. Entrees were excellent and would gladly return the next time we're in town.

We came for my mother-in-laws 60th birthday - and we are so happy we did! She felt so special, the card signed by the employees was a lovely touch. The food was incredible, we had the fluke, monkfish, sticky toffee pudding and crab pasta (all we would recommend). The upstairs was really lovely and cozy, and the cocktails were great too! Thanks for a lovely night!

Wonderful service. The food was amazing, I wish there’s more steak options other than sirloin. The sea scallops were amazing. It is crispy and juicy.

Walked into a great dining experience here in Providence. The seared scallop was perfect with the pea risotto. My friends had the hanger steak, and they quite enjoyed it.
