Stillwater Books

The selection of books is diverse. The quality of the used books I saw was quite impressive - I purchased a 60 year old textbook that looks almost pristine. There's also a display of merch from the Unemployed Philosopher's Guild, which instantly adds tremendous appeal. The prices are competitive- we spent less than $7 and came away with two books and a really cute set of fridge magnets.
The store itself is bright, well laid out, and tidy. The staff are friendly and professional - they're made sure we were attended to without being overly present, and they offered to special order something we couldn't find.
My favorite part of the experience, however, was Fred. We love Fred. Please say hi to him for us.

Super neat place with loads of books from a variety of authors including local authors which I find so cool! There are a variety of genres to choose from, and there's definitely something for everyone. There is parking available too across the street from Slater Mill if you do drive in (I provided a photo of the lot), and the staff is so friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back.

Very cute layout with a great selection of books! The prices were excellent as well. New books, historical books, fiction, autobiography, young adult. This is a wicked nice addition to this plaza.

Beautiful local bookstore. First independent book store to open in Pawtucket 25+ years ago. Great to still see these local spots. They offer off price books as well as new releases and highlight RI authors. AMAZING book signing for this great book: Seedling by Sarah Joannidi.

Had not been since they moved. But new location is very nice.

Such a cute place with a great variety. Brought my two kids here and they both found something to bring home to enjoy. My daughter got all but one book in a series what normally runs about $150 for about $25! Worth checking it out!

After just recently discovering this fine establishment I travel from out of state to visit. Mostly high quality used, though some new, books are reasonably priced and in great variety. They even have a handy website that lists at least some of the inventory and I in fact just used it to find and hold a particular title which I picked up.
Support your local independent bookstore. If my city had one I would patronize them but they don't independent or otherwise. So I spread it around.

Gem of a bookstore right in Downtown Pawtucket with plenty of free parking just steps away! They have a great selection of books at good prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have a good variety of quality greeting cards. I am becoming a loyal customer!

I never go to any other bookstore. They always either have the books in stock that I want or go out of their way to order them for me even so far as England. Their staff is absolutely the best I've ever run into. if they're having a bad day...I'd never know it. They've always got a smile on their face & a great demeanor ready to help & chat a bit. A QUAINT AND COZY BOOKSTORE WITH A TABLE , CHAIRS AND SOFT COMFY CHAIRS. WHILE YOU ARE VISITING YOU CAN BUY SOME SNACKS AND DRINKS AND EAT THEM AT THE TABLE.
THE BOOK SELECTION IS ABSOLUTELY BETTER THAN OTHER SHOPS. THERE ARE NEW BOOKS, GENTLY USED BOOKS AND A CHILDREN' SECTION OF BOOKS AND TOYS .

Old school bookstores are hard to find!! Stillwater is a great asset to Pawtucket and would recommend supporting them in any way you can. Good selection of pre owned books in great shape, for great prices in a clean, quiet atmosphere.

Perfect little bookstore. Good mix of new (and relevant) and used titles. Local titles. Decent kids section. Polite and helpful staff.
Oh... and it's right across the street from the Slater Mill park so get yourself something to read and find a bench by the falls! Not bad!

Stillwater Books is a great bookstore! The employees are very helpful, and the book displays are artistic. The owners are supporting local businesses with their community bulletin board and other activities. The variety of books includes multiple genres, books from famous authors, and books from well-known local authors.

Beautiful bookstore! Tangible, fully stocked lovely books! Super friendly, smart beyond helpful staff. I left my wallet running for bus. They held for me all weekend!

I called to pre-order a book, they took my name, # and called me the day it was released. Super easy and convenient. Stillwater Books is local independent so I wanted to support them over a big chain. Very nice and helpful folks.

Very good new Indy bookstore. They have the recent bestsellers as well as used and remaindered titles. So there are well chosen books for every budget! Nearby free parking available.

{only book store I know of that's still open to walk into. What a great feeling to walk in and buy a new or used book. Great service very warm and friendly. They also have an online store you can shop at as well.

Great bookstore! Lots of local authors! Didn't even know it was there. Owner was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back.
