1750 Inn at Sandwich Center

My husband and I traveled to the Cape for the first time in Oct of 2012, staying in 4 different hotels and B&B's during our trip. We were VERY happy with our choice of the 1750 Inn at Sandwich. What a wonderful house, terrific experience, great location!! We arrived to find the inn decorated for Fall, and the grounds were lovely and the first sight of the Inn is very appealing. Charlie & Jan helped us feel right at home- cookies and coffee/tea were available to guests, and we were offered info about the town of Sandwich, and the Cape, and shown to our lovely room on the 2nd floor. The house itself is beautiful- immaculate, perfectly and elegantly decorated with a casual warm, very inviting touch. The history of the house is fascinating, and the ambiance is excellent. Wine tastings were offered around 5 and later that evening when we returned, we enjoyed sherry or brandy and treats, met some of the other guests in the main living room... really a fun experience. And the included breakfasts Jan creates are excellent! We chose our place at the table and Charlie served us- we were treated so well. Healthy, delicious fare, just an all-around great way to start our day. Not to mention how wonderfully comfortable our bed was, and the pretty views we had of the garden, an easy walk around interesting, picturesque Sandwich. Charlie happily offers to make reservations for you for dinner at local restaurants... And we decided to walk to dinner one night at the Belfry, very romantic! We are excited to return, one of our new favorite places to stay in the entire country!

I stayed at the 1750 Inn at Sandwich Center in the fall of 2009. As a single female traveler, it's important that I feel welcome when staying at a small B&B, and Jan and Charlie certainly went above and beyond in that regard! My room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and very quiet for sleeping. The breakfasts are delicious, home-cooked meals that leave you more than satisfied. The location of this property makes it so easy to get in your car and be on a main road in a matter of minutes. If I ever visit Cape Cod again, I will stay at the 1750 Inn at Sandwich Center!

Unfortunately we spent only two days at this wonderful B&B. The house is cozy and comfortable. The hosts Charlie and Jan are so friendly and helpful. When we arrived Charlie just baked fresh cookies. Unfortunately my partner wasn't able to eat them because she's allergic to nuts. An hour later Charlie served us new cookies made without nuts and they were delicious! Wow!
In the evening we were sitting in the living room, drinking wine Jan served us, eating chocolate and talking with other guests.

Highly Recommended. Great for couples.

The landscape and the village of Sandwich are so beautiful. If you should visit Sandwich don't miss to go to Heritage Museums & Gardens.

We stayed 2 nights in the Hallstead Room last month. Bed was very comfortable. Nice, large bathroom w/ tub/shower. Central A/C. We had amazing breakfast meals out on the patio! Good location w/ plenty to do w/in walking distances. We felt instantly "right at home" w/ Jan & Charlie. They were excellent source of info for our 1st trip to the Cape. Hospitality is top-notch!! We would highly recommend this exquisite inn. Jan's homemade cookies are the best, too! Only regret was that our stay was not longer.

Wonderful getaway at the Inn at Sandwich Center!

We were at the end of a very busy season for our business and wanted to get away for a few days. We looked for a Cape Cod bed and breakfast and found the 1750 Inn at Sandwich Center.

Jan and Charlie greeted us like old friends, showed us around the B&B, and left us to unpack and relax. They helped with ideas for restaurants, as well as things to do, and places to explore. They are a fountain of good information! Every restaurant recommendation was spot on!

The location is fabulous - the Sandwich Glass Museum is across the street, and offered a fascinating glimpse of Sandwich history. Other Cape Cod attractions are a short drive away.

Breakfasts were top-notch! We enjoyed every bite, and even asked for the recipe!

We recently visited Sandwich and The 1750 Inn at Sandwich was recommended to us by a local friend and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Charlie and Jan are very welcoming into their stunning home which features lots of local items including a locally made reclaimed dining table from a colonial door. You feel the history in the house and also enjoy luxurious comfort.

The room was well equipt and had a considerable sized bathroom given the building's age with a full sized bath and shower that offered views over the lovely garden. Most importantly, the bed was extremely comfortable!

In the morning we enjoyed a delicious two (TWO!) course home made breakfast which was far and above anything else we had ever enjoyed in a B&B or hotel previously. We wished we could have stayed longer but unfortunately had to check out.

The location is ideal to visit all the local landmarks and the beach by foot.

Highly recommendable.
The whole stay of four nights was absolutely excellent!

Good location in Sandwich, wonderful house with a lot of charme and comfort. But the biggest difference to many other Inns or B&B are the owners.

We felt welcome from the first minute. Charlie was extremly helpful with reservations and tipps where to go and what to do. Jan cooked fantastic breakfasts every morning!

The Inn is Conveniently located in Sandwich on Cape Cod. We were greeted by Jan and Charlie the Owners who insure that you have a wonderful stay on the Cape and in their beautiful Inn.
Jan's gourmet breakfasts each morning and yummy cookies in the afternoon will be sure to satisfy any hunger you may have.
It is a wonderful Inn with friendly Owners and fellow guests too! A Great get-away spot!!

It was so wonderful. It felt like home. The breakfast was so good, healthy and filling.
Honestly for the price, it was completely worth it. Jan and Charlie were amazing, always ready to help us. For sure I'll go back💗

We stayed at the Inn from the 7th until the 10th of october. The house is one of the beautifulst places we visit in the USA. Jan and Charlie were very friendly and lovely. The breakfast was very tasty. It's a great place to stay!
