The Brewster Store

This store is a trip down memory lane and absolutely worth a visit. We stopped while traveling from Wellfleet back to Dennis by recommendation of a friend and are glad we did. The store is full of candy, crafts and other memorabilia that I haven’t seen since my childhood in the 80s and 90s.

A store from last century. A great place to visit with penny candy and a menagerie of supplies and gifts. Fun to walk around, but you always walk out with something without losing your wallet.

Olde Cape Cod general store! Two floors, fresh fudge, Cape collectibles, tea towels, gifts, tees, olde style milk glass lamp covers, and some things for the kids. Creaky floors, American flag banners, seasonal decorations add to it's Cape Cod charm.

Neat spot. They have roasting peanuts in an antique case, a micro candy shop, and many unique gift options. I wish I was there early enough to try the donuts. It's worth a stop.

Originally built in 1852 as a church this general store is not only a Brewster institution but I'd go as far as to say it is a Cape Cod institution. Definitely a must see if you are in the Orleans/Brewster area. Great place for kids too, with an old fashioned type candy area/display. Walking through The Brewster Store is most certainly a step back to a simpler time, a real slice of Americana that is today hard to find. As you shop and browse this 2 story historic building you will find almost anything you need from souvenirs to everyday items you may have forgotten to pack on your vacation. It also has a old fashioned counter area to grab a cup of coffee etc. The Brewster Store will definitely be crowded during peak summer months, that's why I tend to go in the fall when the Cape returns to a more peaceful spot.

A must-see for anyone visiting Brewster. All kinds of Cape Cod souvenirs including their own well made sweatshirts, candles, mugs, soaps, herbs, cooking utensils and delightful cookie molds. I bought some neat Cape related cookie shapes like a lighthouse, fish, seahorse and seagull. They are so nice there that they hold the New York Times newspaper every Sunday for my elderly parents.

Old church, now a general store / gift shop - with some food and coffee. Be sure to walk up the steep stairs to see more goods and fascinating WWII paraphernalia. Then go across the small parking lot to get some great ice cream.

Love this store. Such a classic feel and visiting the second level “museum” is so fun and you can see some pretty cool stuff up there. The first level has an abundance of candy, coffee, toys, soaps, pastries and even roasted peanuts. Would recommend stopping in! Oh- they also have ice cream, it looks great!

What an old general store should look like and did look like from its impressive front doors -the scent of wood floors, candy displays and kitchen n Cape products. This place brings you back.
Beautiful building on one of the most traveled historic roads on the Cape, 6A. Whatever you dreamed of buying as a kid is in here.

Classic country store that has all the stuff you need, with plenty that you don't. Especially good for kids. Ice cream 40 ft away. Recommended!

What wonderfully interesting old time variety store stocked floor to ceiling with a sundry of items spanning the gamut from touristy to sundries to collectible antiques.

Amazing little general store, reminds me of the olden golden days.. I absolutely adore this store.. visiting from CT and never been to the cape and this is the best..

Anyone complaining about this place should rethink life and slow down. Great place to go to when your out on the cape whether you’re staying in Falmouth, Hyannis, Chatham, Harwich or obviously in Brewster. Either way make the drive. If you have little kids, bring them there. It’s a really nice spot to remind a younger generation what it looked like back long long ago. That’s important to us. My kids say it’s Mrs Oelsons General Store from Little house on the prairie. lol . We stop in all the time, never gets “old.” 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I can’t say enough about how amazing the staff is. I came in at 7:30am with my two young children and the staff entertained my children with playing the piano and showing them toys. It’s a cute little general store with toys and penny candy for the kids and odds and ends you may need. They will always have my business!

doing the new england general store tour. this is the best one of the bunch. they are a true general store. they have a little bit of everything - hardware, candy, roasted peanuts, pickles, groceries, knick/knacks etc. friendly workers who make your time there special.
