Extraordinary work and excellent customer service! Vinny, Rafaella, and their crew at Mainsail Painting are the absolute best! From start to finish Vinny was there to walk us through the process, explain all of the details, and be sure the job was done correctly in a timely manner.
We hired Mainsail to clean/power wash our entire house (we have some vinyl siding & railings as well as a mahogany deck & some cedar shingles as well) and paint the back & side of our home, stain & replace a few boards in our deck, and stain our outdoor shower. They were recommended to us by a friend who is also a perfectionist much like myself - and we are so happy we found them! Our house looks amazing and basically brand new!  Our only regret is not hiring them sooner.
We love working with a local, family owned company that truly cares about its customers and the job they are doing. They will be our go to painters - we have already recommended them to others and will continue to do so!

Vinny and his crew did a fabulous job painting the exterior of our home which included the clapboard, trim, the front door (both exterior and interior). They also refinished our deck to perfection. Throughout the whole process, Vinny effectively communicated with us on the progress of the project and took into account our feedback. I am a RE broker in Milton and the city, and do not have contacts down at the Cape that I can call on the fly. I was looking to find a new relationship to not only take care of my own cape house but also the clients around cape cod. When I called Mainsail painting via google search, Vinny picked up right away and was a rock star from the first minute we spoke. He was at my house within an hour of our call giving me an estimate and within days he had started the job. The whole crew was personable, clean and did excellent work. Mainsail Painting has just completed painting the exterior of our house in Falmouth, MA. We got exceptional service from the Mainsail team from our first interaction. We especially appreciated how well Vinny communicated with us during the process - w knew in advance when the team was arriving, what they would be doing, and even what time they would be finishing up on any given day. This is the third time we have used Mainsail and Vinnie. Although we’ve moved off the Cape up to Plymouth, he was more than happy to drive across the bridge and complete our sunroom. We plan to have him paint the exterior this spring. He not only focuses on quality, but is a very adept problem solver. His crews are quality painters, but also do an incredible job, repairing and patching wood or Azac before they paint.

Our Family is so grateful to Vinny and the rest of the MainSail crew who helped us get our cape house in order by July 4th. From the prep, to the painting, to the hardwood floors being refinished, to the electrician adding in outlets, and finally to your crew for rebuilding our mantle so we could add a TV. You made it all happen like magic! In addition to all of these great things, since we were not able to be there everyday, Vinny helped me manage every person and aspect to perfection. Vinny was referred to me by a co-worker when I had asked if anyone knew of a good painter... I needed someone to paint the trim and exterior of my home in the historic district of Sandwich. My co-worker said she had found someone special - said his work is unparalleled and moreover he is the total package - said he cares, he is thorough, he listens and he works extremely hard to please. I texted Vinny and he called me within hours. We set up a time to review the job. He came over like the next day and was on-time (rare!). He asked tons of questions not only about the job but about our home and our family - to get a good understanding of what we were truly looking for. He followed up a few days later by coming by and explaining in detail a quote that was easy to understand, fair, competitive, and specific. He made suggestions based on what he learned about us when he came to learn about the job (again, very rare!). He was honest about when and what he could do. We hired him and couldn't be happier about the decision. His crew was incredibly talented, respectful, clean, and professional. The house came out way better than we expected. Vinny's suggestions were on-point and so fitting for our preferences. Not only were the painting results impressive but the carpentry was above and beyond expectations. What a bonus to hire painters that were so multi-talented! They removed and replaced an old ugly door. They rebuilt rotted corners of detailed trim around the house. They compromised and overcame challenging obstacles that older homes often present with jobs like this, impressively. To top it off, we were going to slop a coat of paint over our front door but were so impressed with his work that we hired him to re-finish the front door to see what he could do with it. He removed the door, removed a century of coats of paint and brought the door back to its' original wood and then finished it to be what might be "the most beautiful door in Sandwich" as Vinny claims. Amazing! And as a gift, Vinny took an old rickety wood bench that we had on out patio, repaired, sanded, and painted it to match the house.... who does that for a customer??? Could not recommend a professional more than Mainsail Painting! You WILL NOT find a more fair and professional operation. So lucky to have someone like him on Cape Cod!

I hired Vinny at Mainsail Painting a few weeks ago to paint entirely my antique home in Sandwich Village. I would highly recommend Vinny and his amazing crew for any painting job, big or small.
I found Mainsail from seeing a job they were working in in early May down the street in Sandwich. I could clearly see their attention to detail at this job. They were organized, used drop cloths, sanded and prepped the job thoroughly and cleaned up every night.
Vinny came to my house and prepared a detailed analysis of what he recommended. He provided me a detailed estimate and from there we negotiated a fair price without cutting corners. Included was a full wash of the weathered cedar shingles.
Last Monday his crew arrived and thanks to some great weather, his crew of 2, sometimes 3 painters fully transformed my house. And in 5 beautiful days!!!!
I could not be happier.
Keep in mind, I have always been a talented handyman around my home. This project was just more than I could handle.
Today he came to collect the final payment and to pick up all the trash and his ladders tools. We did a walk around with me.
I highly recommend Mainsail and would be happy to give you a personal recommendation if you need one.

As a "perfectionist" myself, the work ethic of & attention to detail Rafaella, Vinny & their team show to all aspects of a project = truly admirable--from quote, to finish, you can rest assured they will not leave a job half-finished.

Our entryway needed some serious love! We had seen the work at Mainsail did at Nirvana Coffee Co so we decided to give them a try, well we certainly were not disappointed. The work is top notch! No skimping and all professional! We will use them again! We couldn’t be happier! Every time I open the door now I smile.

We are so happy to have found Vinny and his team! I had been looking for a local painter, rather than a big commercial operation, and when I read a review and learned that Mainsail Painting had done the work at our local coffee shop, Nirvana, I felt I had found the right person. And I had. Vinny and his wife (it's a family business!) came by the very same day I called him, to take a look at our project, which was the painting of new trim in our powder room and our kitchen walls. And then the team was able to complete the job before Thanksgiving. Their work is excellent, and Vinny is so easy to communicate with - friendly, interested in ensuring that we are happy with the work, and reasonably priced. On top of all that, Vinny and his family live in the neighborhood. It feels great to support a local and growing business.
Our first experience was so great, that we have now had started on a project for work in the bedrooms on our third floor, which involves drywall replacement, painting, replacement of some doors, and the crafting of a small, oddly shaped closet door. And I'm sure that we will be working with Vinny and his team for many other projects in the future.

Vinny and crew were wonderful to deal with. I had repair work done that needed painting. One of the repairs required matching some old stain which wasn’t easy. Did a great job and took their time making sure it was right. Vinny also noticed bulkhead was starting to rust. Informed me that primer should have been painted after installation. So glad he did!! It looks so much better and will last longer!! I highly recommend Mailsail Painting!!
