Kate's Fried Seafood & Ice Cream

Great spot in Brewster! There are many good places to get lobster rolls on the Cape. I go to Kate's for everything else. Fish sandwiches, crab rolls, clam platters, fries, onion rings, ice cream. It's definitely worth a stop and a taste. The food is terrific.

THIS is Cape Cod. A walk up window for ice cream next to a walk up window for fried seafood!! The Shrimp Dinner was perfect to share, lots of shrimp hot out of the fryer, hot fries and a Coke. Lots of outdoor seating on a nice quiet corner, we will be back!

Had a Ruben fish sandwich and it was a good change from other seafood joints. The class were awesome and ice cream crazy large.

A Cape Cod staple. I've been going to Kate's for over 40 years to grab some good seafood, fried veggies, a must have raspberry lime ricky, and stroll down the street for a beautiful sunset.

Went here because I really wanted some fried shrimp and I was not disappointed! Awesome deal with their dinners, and the shrimp was fried perfectly. My boyfriend and I also had to try the brownie sundae and wow, it was gone so fast that I couldn't even get a picture of it. The outdoor seating is very nice too.

Xlnt ice cream and a nice assortment of flavors. Always worth a stop when in the area. They are closing soon (the owners are retiring), so stop by and grab a bite! Recommended!

Quintessential Cape Cod roadside food stand. The fried shrimp was terrific and abondant. The ice cream portions were HUGE, and they had a sufficiently diverse selection - though not as broad as the destination ice cream stops like Sundae School! Ate their twice on our last visit to the area. Highly recommended.

The seafood and clam chowder are delicious! I’d highly recommend eating here for the seafood. There are some no -seafood options and a a few kid choices. Prices are average. It’s a take out or eat outside place. There are picnic tables and a small parking lot. Service is pretty fast. Ice cream portions are large!

Kate's is literally a hidden gem that you NEEED to try. Stayed in Dennis last time, we came 3x in a week. This year we stayed in Truro, made a point to drive completely out of the way just for a stop at Kate's. Try anything. Everything is great. Trust me, we had it all!

Went to Kate's after giving up on another local favorite that had poor Covid set-up and we were so happy we did. Whole belly clam roll was fresh, hot and delicious. The salmon burger was simple but perfectly done: good flavor, light grill char, on a fresh bun w/sliced tomato and lettuce. Get the sweet potato fries. Kate's does them right. They have the crispy outside that is so often lacking on SPFs. The raspberry lime rickey was light and refreshing, not too sweet.
For a small walk-up Kate's takes Covid seriously and has very clear signage and floor markings to keep customers in good, safe order. Thank you, Liam and Kate.

This ice cream and fried seafood stand just down the road from the beach features a large, creative selection of homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt flavors. The homemade waffle cones and exceptionally good. Service was fast and friendly and parking and seating were ample though we visited very early in the season.

Kate's is the absolute best. Their food and ice cream are awesome. Unfortunately Kate's owners are putting it up for sale after running this business for 38 years. They will be open 9/8, 9/9 and 9/10. Hopefully someone will buy it and run it the same way. Why mess with success?

Kate’s will always be my favorite ice cream and fish shack on the cape! The best fishwitch and clams strips around, and don’t forget to take a walk along Paine’s Creek Beach when you’re done!

Great calamari. Lobster roll was huge. Well made and good lobster chunks. Not just bits of lobster. Got the 1/3pound and afraid to see how large the 1/2 would be. 10/10

Love Kate's. As a native to Brewster, I've been going there for ice cream since it opened. Onion rings are the best around. And I've always enjoyed the Capt's Club.

Amazing frappes, shakes, and freezes. The coffee blast was awesome.

Awesome food. Had the third of a pound lobster roll 🦞 There seemed like even more meat than that. Didn't slather it with mayo which allowed the lobster to shine. You get a healthy pile of fries too. Quick service. Plenty of tables and parking

Kate's Seafood is great place for fried seafood and other American staples like hot dogs and grill cheese. I had the Cape Cod Reuben, which consists of friend fish, slaw, and Russian dressing on rye bread. It was tasty and very rich. Definitely upgrade to the onion rings of you like those. The fries were nothing special, but what you would expect. Same went for the hot dogs which the kids ate.
Outdoor seating is the only option and there are plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas. The parking lot is nicely paved and most of the grounds are accessible.

Higher priced but well worth it. Excellent food quality. There twice in 2 days. Large portions, both lunch and ice cream.

I had the lobster roll. It was generous and one of the best I have had on the Cape. They serve Liam's iconic onion rings - from Liam's restaurant on Nauset Beach.
