Millway Beach

A beautiful place to come. I am visiting from out of town and walked to a local coffee shop. One of the locals there told me I needed to walk over to this beach! I was so excited and walked over (about 15 minute walk from Nirvana Coffee). It was a nice walk and the beach was well worth it. Not too busy. Met some friendly people.

There are a lot of beaches in cape cod to choose from, but this relatively small beach is very special. With Barnstable harbor close by, restaurant and clam shack, this beach is a favorite destination for us. Have dinner and walk the beach and see excellent sunsets, or grab take out at the nearby clam shack and lay a blanket on the beach, letting the kids play in the shallow pools catching hermit crabs when the tide is out. Not usually crowded, so you can find quiet space to relax and take in the wonderful scenery.

Millay Beach/Barnstable Village is an amazing beach with incredible tidal flats. The beach and the surrounding area are wonderful for kids and families.

Beautiful residential only beach. You can park down the street at a local restaurant if you aren’t walking. A great place to see the sunset. No waves here so great for tots and littles to explore and try out the ocean. In low tide you can walk almost a quarter mile out. Recommend for a quick stop or a calm place to go.

We were out and about exploring and came across this beach so we stopped. I Loved the views! The kids loved it too!! ❤ we will be back.

Superb little beach for kids, safe, very interesting at low tide, good washroom facilities and access. But... no parking without resident permit. Nearest public parking is 1 mile away behind Barnstable fire department. We dropped off our stuff at the beach then parked in town. I guess the resident-only parking is what keeps this little gem of a beach so quiet.

Very cute resident only beach. Amazing views of Sandy neck light and cottage colony. Beautiful and quaint Barnstable harbor is calm and perfect for kids.

Kinda of sandy, and there was salty water everywhere. The water kept coming and going throughout the day. Otherwise this kid friendly beach is a great place to spend the day, especially if your boat doesn't work.
