My family lives near Madison and I've often driven by the place when staying with them though I'm from out of town. This time me and my partner decided to get a room here. I called in advance and they were very upfront with the fact that they can't guarantee what room view you will have and I accepted that. I went with a queen bed, balcony view, and a jacuzzi. The views were lovely. The jacuzzi fits two (if your a tad creative and don't mind being close) and the pillows and bed were soft and plush. The morning breakfast was standard fare but I'm glad it was there just the same. It is an older hotel but the been in old hotels that were in much worse condition. I can tell they are trying to keep this one updated

We have been here every year for 20+ years and have ALWAYS had a great experience. Views are spectacular. Rooms are always clean and neat. Only issue is noise from cars going over bridge to Kentucky but we will continue to stay there every time we go regardless. Staff very friendly. HIGHLY recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay. The views do not disappoint! The history, the charm, the friendly staff - it was great, and a great value, too! ☺

Quick stay with a beautiful view. Clean room, friendly helpful service, breakfast was even decent. My teenager and I spent a lot of time on the balcony together, it was quiet peaceful.

Super nice old hotel that looks like it was built maybe around the 1940's (just a guess) but the inside is all modern and new. Super super nice place to stay and the staff is super friendly. The driveway might be a little slick in bad weather as it is not called the hillside inn for nothing. great view of the town and the river. will stay here again if in the area

We're halfway through our anniversary weekend stay here and the place has really improved over the last few years. We're staying in one of the suites on the 3rd, top floor, with a whirlpool tub and a gas fireplace. Well worth the money. Theres a seperate full bathroom with tub n shower. The whirlpool tub is in the main room next to the king sized bed. Our balcony is directly in line with the Madison, In/ Milton, Ky bridge making for a wonderful view. The beds a little hard but it's a preference thing I guess. The room is very nice.

Id definitely go back first of all🙂
Breakfast was a good variety of items no complaints on that clean and plentiful.
The room was clean furniture definitely dated and t.v for my liking is small
Bed definitely not the most comfortable I've slept on but overall a clean nicely presented room with amenities
The balcony is what makes this place awesome loved it chairs a bit uncomfortable could use some cushions but still the best part about this place
The view is all day entertainment watching the town bustling along loved it
The grounds are interesting if your into history and stuff
The hotel in general is small in my case u walk in front desk then bam there's my room felt claustrophobic to me but clean
My only complaint really is I think there should be some type of outdoor seating area to enjoy the property and the view some patio furniture some tables and umbrellas and mayb a fire pit for colder seasons
(Smokers would love a sitting area not 5 feet from the main entrance in the back of the building)
Seen a few folks enjoying thier morning coffee standing by the rock wall enjoying the view and the weather with no place to sit and socialize
Definitely recommend and ill b back b4 the summer is over definitely a 💎

The view from the balconies is priceless!! You could tell that our room had been recently renovated (So, it looked really nice, competes with any over priced hotel). Our room was very clean!!! The complimentary breakfast was pretty good and the coffee was wonderful! All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a very nice place to stay!

My husband and i stayed last weekend. We were in room 219 an loved it. The private balcony as was amazing. Such a beautiful view. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The rooms are well insulated almost to warm, but we like our room cold at night. Will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable beds, loved the balcony and view, and the garden tub was awesome! Breakfast was better than most continental hotel breakfasts. Will definitely be back, although I do wish the prices were a bit lower.

The two ladies at check in are always so friendly & helpful. We have stayed here several times as we have traveled from Michigan to Tennessee & have never had a bad experience. We can always smell & see that the rooms & buildings are clean. In the rooms with a balcony on the southwest side, you can overlook the main town, down main street & to the bridge. A beautiful sight especially at night. There is a large variety of items on the breakfast bar. This is a quaint town with beautiful buildings that you will fall in love with & many things to do. This is a definite stop when ever we are in the area.

Driving up to the Inn coming from town is beautiful! Parking is easy, every spot is close, the staff is super friendly. The room was beautiful! Very clean and inviting! Bathroom spotless!! THEN..... you open the curtains and look out over Madison! The view is fantastic! In the morning you can go downstairs and get a little breakfast and coffee to hold you over to get to town. We had a fantastic stay and all of our needs were met! Very nice Inn! Highly recommend.

Super clean room. Superb staff! We have never ever stayed anywhere else that the staff was so friendly, kind and personable! Price was average. Views were amazing! Breakfast was continental style with no fruit. Would have liked a hot breakfast! Would love to come back this summer and explore more, when it’s warmer!!

The location to start! Really spectacular views of the Ohio river. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a king suite that was extremely spacious. Like a studio apartment with a jacuzzi tub with jets in it in the room. Each room has a private balcony with a ceiling fan which made it really nice. It's nestled away on a hill, they have complimentary breakfast..sorry can't say anything about it we slept in and missed it lol. It's down the street from downtown Madison with friendly shops and little cafe's. Just and all over above meeting expectations wonderful stay.

The rooms were a little outdated. But it was a very beautiful view. Very nice and clean. Personnel was very nice. Breakfast was good all except for the eggs. Nice view when you're eating your breakfast. Said that there was a microwave in the room we did not have one in our room. There was a refrigerator. The balcony was very nice a table with two chairs a ceiling fan and a light.
