We loved our stay and will definitely return if in the area. Room was clean and spacious with all of the creature comforts we like! We did not have the complimentary breakfast. We had a power outage and somebody came around offering flashlights! People were so nice! Loved the tavern too!

The rooms and history was amazing, the bar was awesome and fun with live music. We came for our 13th wedding anniversary, and we had a blast and can't wait to stay again. The only thing I was disappointed in was at the restaurant we had dinner, which was delicious, but the portion you get for 20+ dollars a plate left you hungry. But if you get a chance to check it out or even stay do it, we'll worth it and the staff was amazing.

We stopped in for dinner; the restaurant was full and we were offered the "eat at the bar" experience. My hubby and I both had the pecan crusted chicken My mouth still waters when I think about it for long =) Great meal. Terrific bartender. Love that the staff were all appropriately dressed, when most businesses allow yoga pants, etc. Not here - the staff definitely perceive themselves as part of the experience; a part of dining out I miss! We'll be back!

We just went to the restaurant. The restaurant location and environment inside were fantastic. We loved the decor and all the fireplaces inside. It was very dark and cozy. The holiday drink i has was very good. There is a decent bourbon selection. The food and desserts were very good. We would definitely come here again!

We had lunch and it was absolutely delicious! We have fried banana peppers as appetizer, a first and it was great! If you like fried pickles then you got to try this! Great place, no wonder this place has been Herr so long!

I went for a weekend trip with my partner and stayed in the Daniel Boone room. The staff was all perfectly professional, the history and presentation were fantastic, and the bartenders were polite, skilled, and friendly. The Tavern was the centerpiece in a superb trip to Bardstown. We considered making it an annual thing and to stay in each room, and after this experience we're committed!

My wife and I stopped for lunch on a road trip. The bartender and the people in the gift shop were very friendly. I ordered the wedge salad and a cup of burgoo. Everything was delicious. Their bourbon selection is great. I would definitely stop in again.

This Tavern is a must stop when planning a bourbon trail tour. Food and drinks were great. I highly recommend the pork chop and the bread pudding. Make sure to do the self guided tour of the building for some neat history.

We went to The Old Talbott Tavern for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed the first night in a room above the bar knowing that it would be loud all night. My expectations were that my wife and I would be partying it up in the bar and up all night anyway. Reality.....by 10:00 we were tired and ready to go to sleep. LOL!! It was really loud, but it was expected. Second night we had a room in the Inn. Both rooms were awesome!! I will stay in the Inn when we come back. We spent time in the restaurant & bar. It was all a fantastic experience. Breakfast was wonderful each morning as well. We absolutely loved Bardstown and The Old Talbott Tavern & Inn. I highly recommend both!

The rooms are fantastic. Modern with some old school flare. Super clean.

The bar was awesome with every bourbon imaginable. The live music was an added bonus. I wish I could remember his name because he was top notch!

Breakfast gets an A as well and it’s free.

Awesome establishment!!

We visited Bardstown a few weeks ago and several of my friends had recommended we visit the Old Talbots Tavern, and were glad we did. After a walk around town enjoying the Christmas lights we stopped by the tavern and were almost immediately seated. Service was quick and our server was very helpful. We were given a QR code to scan and explore the history of the building while we waited for our food which arrived quickly. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals and our experience there. We will definitely visit again.

Stopped here for late lunch and really enjoyed the hospitality and atmosphere of a truly historical setting. The food was awesome, pot roast was super tender, and highly recommend the meatball and biscuits appetizers. Great place to sample any bourbon that adds to the unique experience of this location.

This was our second stay at the Talbott Tavern and it was great. The history of the place is interesting and the building is beautiful. Everyone is very friendly and the food was good. We especially enjoyed the balcony with a drink and watching the world go by. This time we stayed in the Washington Irving room and it was clean and comfortable.

This was our 2nd time staying here. What a great place! I can't think of a better way to see the Bourbon distilleries than having a home base at Old Talbott Tavern in Bardstown. We will be back in September for the festival and hope to stay here for that as well.

Just had dinner. One of the best on our trip. Tried the southern dish burgoo. DELICIOUS. Mixture of pork, beef & chicken with a good spice. Secret recipe. Will not give it out, I tried. Highly recommend for dinner.

Had to wait over an hour, so reservations on Saturday are highly recommend. I had the Beef Stew and it was delicious. My wife had the swrmip and grits and rated it very good, but the grits Co would have been creamer.

We were in the area for a sports competition at Ft. Knox. Our friends said, "Hey - there's this old restaurant 'right up the road'. Let's go there for lunch."
FYI... Bardstown is NOT 'right up the road from Ft. Knox! :-)
However... it was worth the scenic drive! :-)
Try the Hot Brown and Bread Pudding.
