The Blind Pig Bourbon Market

We wandered into the Blind Pig while on a pilgrimage to Bardstown. We had a chance to talk to the owner for a few minutes. He is a veteran, patriot, and bourbon aficionado. He had several bottles available for tasting at $5 for 2 samples. For a very small shop, he had a great selection and was knowledgeable enough to guide us through flavor profiles and Kentucky only options. He made us feel at home.

Met Josh last month when we stopped in there for the first time. Great bourbon selection. Saw several bottles that are not available in Louisiana. He turned us on some Pursuit. Was very nice. Will visit again when we are back in the area. Would definitely recommend.

We love The Blind Pig!!! Me and my son have been shopping there since Day one. Josh is so kind and so helpful and what a fun sense of humor. Very knowledgeable about everything and we always go home with several bags full of clothing and shoes.

Very friendly staff and great selection. The prices are reasonable and you can sample some bottles before you buy, which is very helpful. I would definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

Where it’s at. Such a better option to taste a wide array of spirits.

The owner is so nice and not the least condescending for the whiskey/bourbon rube I am.

There is an industry rep also tasting additional spirits tonight and he was great too.

Had excellent mixers that I needed and what they didn’t have they made recs of what to get. I’m set for thanksgiving and Christmas with four recipes they wrote down for me.

Nifty little shop with lots of great bourbons (and scotches), including knowledgeable staff and a sale section.

Wonderful little place. Got some knowledge and some bottles from him. He was very kind and let us do some samples as well. Nice at home, personalized feel versus the big stores. Great find, must stop while in Bardstown doing the bourbon trail or otherwise.

Yes Go Here!! Great selection and very reasonably priced. Had a great conversation with who I assume is the owner and other patrons in the shop. Don't waste your time with all the overpriced places, give it a shot.

Reminder: there is lot of great stuff in the world besides the overrated allocated bottles. They have a lot of great bottles
and store picks at retail or below. David will fix you up!

Read reviews that claimed this place is too expensive. We are glad we went anyway. There were some bottles that were more expensive than our stores at home and many that were cheaper. The owner is fantastic to talk bourbon with and we got to sample a couple things we’ve never tried before and bought a couple bottles. Great place to hang out, talk about bourbon, and buy rare-ish bottles.

Wow, I've found the world's best bottle shop (liquor store). Every town should have a bourbon pig. Please open one near me in Australia.

Love this little bourbon shop. Person that rings you up is very knowledgeable. I like going here versus big box stores.

The selection is amazing but Crystal Pratt and David the owner are simply amazing you guys! They work very hard finding single barrels, allocated items and interesting bottles.

But it’s their service that really sets them apart. They really care and share interesting stories and recommendations for things to do and see in Barstow . Highly highly recommended!! The Best !!

Awesome selection of burbon, whiskey, and drink mixing items. They didn't have what I was looking for but had plenty of options in the same realm. Gave me an opportunity to try something new and something I couldn't find at my home town! They also have cigars for those who enjoy them, gift boxes, and staves for those who make burbon at home.

I stopped by the bourbon market today and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. David was very knowledgeable, offered some good tips, and was very pleasant to talk to. Will definitely be a repeat stop whenever I'm in town.

Good selection for a smaller store. Crystal and I talked for 30 minutes. Gave me good selections and we shared ideas and flavor profiles on different bourbons. Spent over $400 on gems. I saw where she got bad reviews on not being outgoing...well, how about you talk to her. As soon as I did, she spoke up and we had a great convo. Shop here only. Don't go down to one of the Indian owned stores. No offense on culture, but they don't know a damn thing about Bourbon. I asked a few questions.

Great little secret shop in the middle of town. The owner was super helpful and had some hard to find bottles!! If you're in town for anything bourbon related this is a must visit!

Absolutely amazing place. The owner is so awesome. I made it a point to stop by here everyday I was here in town. Bourbon selection is great. Prices are as close to MSRP as you will get. If I ever come back I will only shop here. PERIOD.
