El Molcajete Mexican Cuisine

Second trip because of good food taste. Same this visit. Food is great, service is great. Great Mexican atmosphere. Had lunch and lunch was much cheaper in price.
We will make this our goto place for Mexican.

Always really really good. Holy moly it’s super affordable as well. This is our 4th time and every time it’s been clean, the staff is super friendly and the food has been fantastic. First the salsa seems to be homemade with a good flavor not spicy but flavorful. The chips are nice and thin and always crispy not greasy or too salty. The enchiladas are the BEST in town. The fajitas are super good and don’t have the weird red seasoning that a few other local restaurants use. Hidden little gem in the shopping center. Would highly recommend. A great change to the usual Mexican restaurants on Frederica.

Good food , good atmosphere Great service, servers are polite , very welcoming, kids friendly . Every time I go I like to try different dishes and they have also very good drinks I just love this place and definitely I will come here all the time . Highly recommended

This place is always great. Clean, quiet, good service. They always give a good amount of cheese on the meals 🤣 I recommend it. I like the outside seating.

Favorite Friday night meet up place. Food is always good, waiter's and waitress' are super nice and always smiling. Love this place!

My wife and I both got arroz molcajete and a chorizo street taco and it was amazing!! Super friendly staff and a ton of food for the price!! We will definitely be returning.

Update: This is our only Mexican food place now and we eat here almost every week!! Definitely suggest everyone goes here!!

One of the few Mexican restaurants that will do a vegetarian chimichanga and it's very good. Their tomatillo is also amazing!

Food was pretty good n service also was good I just don't agree when you order for take out that they charge you a dollar when call for an order to be picked up. I was speaking to the owner himself as i told him I didn't see the point in charging a dollar for it are they really hurting for that do they feel the need to charge a dollar needless to say he did not charge the dollar. I hope that they do not continue to charge customers that dollar

This place is so amazing! My husband and I go here frequently because the service is amazing, food is top tier, and it is always very quick! Also don't seem to get approached when I have a mouth full of food either so that's a plus haha. 10/10 would recommend. Love this little hole in the wall spot and everyone who works there, all very friendly.

5 stars EVERY. TIME. My family loves coming here! My husband and I had a date here today and man this place is our happy food for real. The food is just soooo amazinggg, the atmosphere and the staff are sooo freakin lovely too! :-))))) if we're going to Mexican cuisine, it's gonna be El Molcajete hands down every time, we've never been disappointed. Today we came around 330pm and they weren't busy at all, but even when they are busy the wait is never long, and ALWAYS worth it.
(I also loooove their margaritas, today I tried the margarona [I think thats the name I can't remember, but the margarita with a Corona in it] and I think it's my new favorite but it's combining my two of my favorite drinks so I may just be biased :P but they always serve delicious beverages)!

Best Mexican restaurant in Owensboro, me and my boyfriend are friends with the owner and him and his employees are very nice love the pollo loco n the street tacos. We will definitely be going back there!!

It was our first trip. I'd heard from a friend there was a Mexican restaurant better than my stand-by fave and I had to give it a try. The waiter listened closely to our orders and my food was cooked to perfection. My son enjoyed the rice and beans and chips along with his meal. My fajitas were great. We will definitely be coming back!

HANDS DOWN best Mexican restaurant in town. They have the best online ordering set up. and the food? BEST! the service is quality and they make your food to order. and the packaging when you order to go is NEVER sloppy! your food never spills out which is one of my biggest problems with ordering to go from Mexican around here.

The food here was out of this world. Had plenty for left overs and they were amazing too! Our waiter was seriously rushing us at first but came back and took a moment to apologize. All on his own, we didn't even say anything about it. I thought that was very cool of him. Please come check out this business that is under new ownership. Clean fun and festive atmosphere. Great staff.

I feel like I'm cheating on Mi Ranchito....but it's a good lil spot hidden away. Good food and good drinks.

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly. The chips and salsa were delicious and our food was fresh and tasty. We will be back!

Loved this restaurant! It was perfect for our large party and the menu had a great selection. Our kids even enjoyed the tacos and before we left were planning the next trip

Margarita's are very good, salsa is delicious and our meals were amazing. Staff was super friendly as well. Togo orders can be placed online but pay in restaurant.
