Lake Mingo Park

Awesome little park. Was my first time here and my kids really enjoyed it. Plenty of wildlife around and able to wet a line and catch a few fish. Just work on advice at this park don't leave valuable items in your car. Was our first trip here and someone smashed out someone's window and stole items from a parked car. But thats any where now days just becareful.

I LOVE the Public Parks of Jessamine County. Beautiful scenery, water fountain, geese, baby ducks, etc. The walking trails are way longer than I expected, which is AMAZING. The trails are clean of litter and the lawn is maintained very well. There is obviously some bird droppings because of all the birds, but that is to be expected. The ducks/geese love to be fed! It's a good place to sit on one of the many benches & read, perfect place to take the family fishing, and an even better place to walk to trails and enjoy the wide array of bird species. There is a basketball court, skate park, disc-golf throughout the trail, shelters & grills. Take your family next weekend! You won't be disappointed.

Spent the 1st nice day here with my family and had a great time. We took some of our kids and the family dog and everyone had fun. There are plenty of benches around the pond for fishing or feeding the ducks and we "set up shop" at one of the benches. We did some fishing and the dog did some sniffing! It really was a nice time and we're planning on returning often!

It was super nice. Very relaxing and fun for the whole family. And no one got bit by a duck or a goose, so that's always a plus. 😂

Great place for kids to play and throw birthday partys and it's even a great dog park and u can go fishing as well

One of our fav parks bc they have almost EVERYTHING you'd want at a great park. They've got a pond for fishing and feeding the ducks. They've got 2 playground areas, basketball courts, and a pretty cool skate park. In addition They've got a nice sized walking trail around the park and the views while walking the trail are so pretty. This parks offers almost everything and this summer a splash park is supposed to be fully operational, but I really wished Lanke Mingo park had a designated play area for dogs!

Lake Mingo has always been one of my favorite places in Nicholasville! And now is even better since they have built the dock and redone the walk track.

I have been going to this park all of my life. It's clean and friendly people in the mornings. I like to walk. It has a one mile loop.

Great little park in town. Haven't caught a single fish here but fun to sit on the bank and enjoy a sunset

Fishing, playground, skate park, 1 mile walking trail, basketball and 3 Pavilions thru out for birthday parties or gatherings and a new Splash Park for kids.

Have always loved this park. Been going here since I was a kid. My kids love feeding the ducks, riding on the skate ramps and ever since they remodeled the playground is so fun for the children.

My wife and I love to visit the park and walk the path here. It's a great layout and perfect if you just want to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. The park has lots to offer and almost always had people scattered about. Very popular fishing spot as well as there is always at least one person fishing if not more.

My little Fam loved it here. My youngest enjoys the Skateboard Park

Great walking trails and well lit areas. Many different activities including skateboarding area. Fishing is allowed but not really feasible. Not sure whether swimming is allowed. Lots of picnic and play areas for kids. Handy to many residential areas. Lots of green and nice shade trees. Would recommend to those who want a place for walking or jogging without having to deal with sidewalks or lack thereof. Or just being out in the street.

Great park with something for everyone whether you'd like to walk or ride the track, skateboard, or play basketball. Fun place to let kids feed the ducks and go fishing but be cautious because they're agressive and a small child could lose a finger.
