City/County Park

Love taking the boys to this park !!
*Update* we been coming to this park for years . Our boys pick this park over most in Lexington. It's a really nice place and offers a variety of things for smaller kiddos up to teen age kids.

Such a great place to relax with kids busy that even the snow birds know about it. ;)

They always have neat and fun things to do and the playgrounds are great with lots to do.

Love it here. Had girl scout meeting. Troop 1817. Making care bags for the homeless!

Nice get away no so far away... my girls love it, fresh air, big fields, peaceful and safe.

They have a lovely playground that is handicapped inclusive with rubber pellets instead of genuine mulch (ouch- splinters for your kids that don't like shoes or say if one falls they don't get a wood chip stuck deep in their hand as I did as a kid). Definitely a nice playground to visit here if you're in the area.

Really liked the balloons. My friend never saw one before and he's 31. Lol #perryfab

Awesome park to go to just to walk around or take your kids and just have a nice stress-free day outside it was very clean and everybody is extremely respectable to everyone in the park

Very clean and very fun! The playground equipment is all new and taken care of. Lots of benches to sit and watch the kiddos play. Lots of neat slides. Also, a couple wheelchair swings. Very nice park

I love that they have an accessible playground so all kids get the experience of the park. I would only b make 1 suggestion and that's too build mor shaded seating close to the playground because the picnic area is kinda far away.

I love the dog park but it sure could use some more trees for shade. Also trying to walk on the rocks at the gate entrance I always feel like I'm going to fall or twist an ankle trying to walk across them. Some concrete there instead of those rocks would be an easy fix and not expensive for that or for adding a few more trees.

The Wilmore Parks folks keep this park in consistently good condition. Since our children have flown the nest we don't use the playground area. We use the walking/jogging trail, the dog park, and the road into the dump area for cut off tree limbs and shrubbery to walk our dog. The soccer/football fields and area are generally kept mowed. We used to use them for rec league soccer practice. There was plenty of room for three or four teams at one time. We held a lot of scrimmages there. But I am not sure if the soccer goals are still out there. There is a portable potty in the parking lot for the pavilion. There are two paved parking lots. I have also seen folks flying radio controlled airplanes and racing drones at the park.

This park is sizeable. There is a picnic shelter and a large soccer field (or two) size area for general recreation a baseball field, and a really forward thinking playground. Its fairly easy to find ,but parking was kindof slim by the picnic area. most importantly there are rest facilities on site(or at least a few port-a-potties on my visit).

Are 1st outside movie here we moved here from indy and we love it so far.
