The food was outstanding but the service was only so-so. I got there before the dinner rush and I sat at the bar. The bartender did a great job getting me my drink and food order but then after that he disappeared. I would have ordered another drink but he never followed up. I had to flag him down to get my bill. I still recommend this place because their pizza is great and their drinks are really good.

Wow...The Don is an amazing pizza packed with lots of meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni. The kids were hesitant to break from their traditional pepperoni but glad they were open to new toppings. Atmosphere can be a bit loud at times but well worth dining in or sitting on the patio.

I’m always down for “real” pizza. Cooked over fire, and in this case coal.

My visit was a quick lunch stop. The bartender was very friendly and helpful, and even pushed my order ahead as I was short on time.

The pizza came out still steaming, perfectly browned crust.

Overall I give the pizza a 7.5/10. It was good, but lacked something.

All and all I enjoyed it but $27 for a 12” pizza and a soda is a little on the high side.

Surrounded by black and white, New York City skyline and a Marilyn photo, the atmosphere has this buzz like the murmurs at a dinner party before the main course arrives from families and friends chattering, laughing; couples talking; locals gossiping; and tourists eager to eat.

Staff and servers are always on the move like subways on 42nd Street. It is always busy from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. So be ready to wait! (I arrived early and got seated immediately!)

Pizzas are thin foldable (New York John's style). There is no need for a knife or fork.

My four cheeses tasted delicious! It's better than some actual New York City pizzerias I have tried.

Trick of the Trade: Order an arugula lemon salad to add as a topping for the pizza. It gave my four cheese pizza a fresh twist.

I’m ready to create a yelp account just to write a review for this place. I am born and raised on the Jersey Shore and worked 5 years at one of the most popular places for pizza (if you know the area, I worked at Porta)… I know good pizza. But to find NY/NJ quality pizza in AZ? Cmon. But seriously, this place is AMAZING. If I lived in the area I’d spend all my money getting food from here. We got the lemon arugula salad and the Margherita pizza. Wow, I am honestly blown away. And amazing service on top of that? You can’t beat it. Come here if you want to eat good!!!!!

The food was great! The pizza was fabulous and the service was good! I didn’t like how loud it was but I understand why it was this way. I highly recommend going!

Fantastic Pizza! Great pizza joint!
Went there to pick up the pizza. Had a couple of beers at the bar. Everyone was friendly, great service. The place was happening as there’s a car show in town but there’s plenty of seating patio area, covered patio area. We took it home and build a fire outside had wine and pizza and it was the most amazing time. I highly recommend it anytime you’re busy to grab a pizza take it home build a fire and just have some friends over pizza is phenomenal!! Plenty of seating inside in the pizza was beyond phenomenal.!!!

My first taste of fired pizza, wood or coal. It was very good. Service was consistent and not overbearing. The atmosphere was focus on family and food, as the table next to us was a father daughter and son. Several couples around us.

Staying at the apartment above Grimaldi’s so naturally we had to try it. Excellent cocktails. Pizzas were fabulous. Crust is thin and cooked to perfection. Salads were better than most salad places. Fun place. A must if you are visiting Scottsdale.

Delicious spinach salad, and the pizza was fantastic! Loved the whole experience.

This was my First time to visit, however it will no be my last. Jacob was Outstanding as our waiter. Let's talk about the food, some of the best food I've eaten in a long time.( See photos ) Highly recommend you stop by if your within 50 miles. Be sure to ask for Jacob, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy !!!!

Fantastic pizza. Try to go when it's less busy to really enjoy yourself. Gets bustling and loud. Makes sense because their food is excellent!

We got a house salad to feel healthy and The Don pizza 12” plenty for 2 people. As you can tell from the photo we killed it.
It was so good. Didn’t need to add anything like ranch to eat it. Great atmosphere. Definitely a place to eat if your in the area.

I love Grimaldis! The simplicity of flavors create a masterpiece!!! We got the Pepperoni with ricotta. Definitely recommend it! They messed up on our first order, but quickly brought us a new pizza!

The food is great, the staff is awesome, I loved the atmosphere of this location!

Excellent pizza but the hostess was rather unfriendly

Had a new experience 3 years later. The pizza is tremendous. The server was very friendly and training a new employee who will do a great job. I would definitely return again and it's our favorite place for pizza in Scottsdale.

Great food in a busy location. While an event was taking place at the restaurant it had no impact on the quality of service. Staff was attentive. Salad was served family style and was generous n fresh. Service was good but never felt rushed. Nighttime traffic both cars and foot but still a great outdoor experience. Manager came and spoke to us and gave is a personal welcome and a fresh tiramisu.

Good pizza, New York style vibe with true Phoenix service... Nice outdoor tables out front.

Always a solid choice for anything pizza!. . Been eating here for years when traveling through. . . One of my original favorite pizza joints . . . Never disappoints

Service from Brett was awesome , he is very personable and efficient I wish that we could have him in every restaurant we frequent ..
My husband and I are return patrons & we love your pizza .
However you new lunch special altho quick & priced well is not for us . If we were first time diners I would not expect we would return .
We know for the next time that it's better to have leftovers .
