Papago Park Reviews

I’ve been here easily over 100 times since moving to Phoenix 6 years ago. We take our 3 chihuahuas around the 5k loop regularly. I love that it’s mostly paved with small hills but it’s a relatively easy trail. It’s always been clean and it’s not too crowded. I only wish the parking lot would be open later. They start kicking people out well before sunset.

Papago Park was very nice. The hike is short, easy, and has a nice view. It has plenty of parking, a pond for fishing, and a grill. The people were very nice and we had some great laughs taking pictures for them at the hole. Oh it was also very clean. This park is also good for children and pets.

A beautiful place with so much to see! Watching the ducks, birds, prairie dogs, climbing into the hole in a rock and adventuring the pyramid, we really loved this park!

For a beautiful, yet family-friendly hike, head to Papago Park. There's a large parking lot with information boards and drinking fountains nearby. Then follow the path to the rocks great for climbing. My wife, six-year-old daughter and I loved the short hike and scramble up the rocks for a beautiful view of the area.

Views are awesome. Although it may be a challenge getting a clear shot of the hole. For a weekday, it was pretty busy.😉It's not very difficult if you're compromised. Definitely worth the hike.

We combined the nature trail with the Hole in the Rock trail... 1.5 miles total, including viewing areas, small.pond, etc. It's great. Close to everything and yet felt like we were away from it all.

Great spot to hike, with accessibility ranging from toddler-friendly to scrambling. Nice views of the Salt River Valley, and a good place to watch the sun set over the mountains

It is an excellent area to ramble around the desert with different regions with lakes and rest sites to have picnics and restrooms.
There are many options to walk around the "hole in the rock" with different routes and excellent views.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Trail up to the hole in the rock is pretty easy to get up so no experience or special equipment, but for comfortable shoes is needed. There is not a lot of parking, so get there early. One lot is close to hole in the rock. Another is less then a quarter mile around the corner. Bring water and enjoy the view.

I recently visited Papago Park, and it was a fantastic experience! The red rock formations are truly unique, and the hiking trails offered breathtaking views. The park's cleanliness and maintenance are impressive, and the desert garden is a neat addition. If you're a nature lover and enjoy hiking, Papago Park is a must-visit for an exciting outdoor adventure.

Great hiking! You choose easy (relatively flat) or mid level with some climbing involved. Either way nice way to spend the day. Lots to see and great views. Cool view of the zoo from Hunt Pyramid. Picnic and fishing pond, restrooms. Very well kept- free parking.

Love this park. Hole in the rock is always busy and it’s sometimes hard to find parking. There’s a nice trail taking you around to see the plants.
The botanical garden and zoo are nearby. Definitely a day trip with the kiddos.
