Gerber's Restaurant

Really good home cooked style food. Prices are good, especially considering how much food you get. We found this place randomly after moving to the area, and were pleasantly surprised! We enjoy eating here when we can. We've never left feeling hungry, that's for sure! The country fried steak is our favorite thing to order. The mac & cheese bites are really good, too. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We've never had to wait, but the place is usually pretty busy. Just know, they aren't open on weekends, so you'll have to get there during the week, if you're going.

The food, service, and cleanliness has always been top notch. Today I got the country dinner today for the first time. Absolutely delicious!! Everything's good and at a great price.

Visited again and it's still a favorite for locals. There's both booth and table seating. All the home cooking that you could want with plenty of options at an affordable price.

We visited this restaurant when it was in Greenup. It had a very nice selection of American food that was a reasonable price.

We love to eat at this place! My favorite is the country fried steak. They have specials every day that change. The desserts are great here as well. The staff is wonderful to deal with. The prices are reasonable and the portions are good sized

Very clean, nice and friendly family restaurant in Greenup, Kentucky. Do not expect the food to be served very quickly as it is not a fast food place. They actually cook it after you order it. The menu offers a good variety of home cooked style items. I have never been disappointed here.

I have eaten here for years. It is a great restaurant that serves good food as well as a great family atmosphere. My friends and I eat here when we’re bored and want something to eat. Great waitresses and wonderful cooks. I love their burgers!

Waitress was very friendly and new how to do her job. Food was delicious to and the serving were very large. Yes I will be eating there again. Want to try there burgers and desserts.

Great "home cooked" food, friendly service, clean, nice and quiet environment. If you haven't tried this place, you are truly missing out! My only complaints would be their prices (a little steep but worth every penny), limited menu and hours (wish they were open longer) but even with that, I still give this place 5stars!! Their portions/plates are huge and full, even the kids meals could be split between 2-3kids!! So I personally think it's worth it to pay $9 for a full 4-course REAL meal VS almost the same at leading fast food restaurants. I've never left without taking home about half of my food in a box (and I can eat LOL!). I definitely recommend this place!! You must try it for yourself!! My favorite so far is the spaghetti, which comes with garlic bread and two sides, my choices are usually a salad and green beans (amazing!!). If you have room for dessert I recommend the apple pie ala'mode (Fresh, hot and delicious pie with real vanilla bean ice cream!!). That too was a generous size. My ten year old and I split it and my eight year old had some as well!! Between the food, the atmosphere and the people, this is our families favorite place to dine-in and sometimes even order it to go and take it to the park!! I hope you have the chance to try this if you're ever passing by! Unless you're from here, it's hard to know it's there. If you're passing through greenup, KY and find yourself near the hotel, it is right in the Plaza parking lot by Cash Express, Goodwill and Tammy Jo's Studio!! Enjoy!!

Great hamburgers and friendly service. I was there with a group of 7 and we all had different things. Everyone said their food was great!

Took 2 of my grandson's with me. They wolfed down their spaghetti and profoundly thanked me for bringing them there.

Let me tell u something I live in Waverly Ohio & My husband & I make a special trip to Gerbers Restaurant in Greenup Ky atleast twice a week! Thats how good the food is there.I've NEVER gotten anything tht was bad there, no matter what we order the food is flat-out AMAZING here and everything is home cooked 💖🙌💖💯💖 Wtg Gerber's Restaurant 🙌 🙌

I live in Columbus and almost every time I come to eastern Kentucky I try to make time and stop at Gerbers. I love their food and the country atmosphere is delightful but my favorite thing is the grilled rolls, l always get extra ones.Ya gotta try 'em.

Absolutely amazing home cooking! If you want a real treat, go on Fridays and get their baked chicken dinner. By far the best in this area!
