TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ironton

This place was amazing. From the moment we checked in. We checked in around midnight and their front desk was nice and accommodating. We needed extra things sent to our room and they were there within minutes. The rooms were extremely clean, updated and spacious. We had 6 adults and we didn't feel cramped, the layout of the room was great. Their breakfast was hot with a great assortments. The breakfast area was super clean as well. The staff was friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. The location was great as well, right off the highway and easy on and off. Couldn't have asked for a better stay, would definitely come back if in the area.

We stay here for work and absolutely love it. The rooms are super nice, the breakfast is way better than most hotel breakfasts that I’ve had in the past at other hotels.

I want to specifically shout out Scott that was at the front desk. Dude hooked me up and was just awesome overall!

I don't ever leave reviews, but this hotel exceeded expectations in so many ways I felt I had to share how great it was. It was extremely clean and updated. We assumed it must have just opened, but found it has been open for 2 years. The housekeeping staff does an amazing job! The front desk staff and breakfast workers were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast had great options, including healthy items that were also delicious - something very hard to find in hotels. There is a lot of sitting space in the lobby area which is bright and modern. I found myself wanting to hang out in it. The fitness is well equipped, a good size and most importantly COLD (many fitness rooms are too warm). Our room was huge (2 queens), very clean, updated and the beds and bedding were comfortable. The location of the hotel is right off the highway, but also within walking distance of restaurants and views of the river. There is also an outside patio with fire pit. We are definitely adding this hotel to our list of places to stop when heading between VA/West VA and Ohio.

Staff was wonderful, hotel was clean and had good lighting. Wonderfully decorated for the local Wizard event-Good breakfast, nice open area for large groups of people to meet at, talk, play board games and do together things. Pool looked like it was open 24 hours which is nice when you get there late.Parking places are a little tight and was completely packed the weekend we were there.

Our group had an extended stay here from June through November of 2023.

A facility can be new, look as nice on the surface as possible, and still not cut the mustard. I could be wrong, but I think this hotel opened sometime around June 2021.

The TownePlace Suites in Ironton, Ohio not only cuts the mustard, but the staff is outstanding, and this is of primary importance. It's obvious that this facility is managed and run by a staff that cares.

From the genuinely friendly front desk crew, to the daily morning breakfast team. From the housekeeping chamber maids, to the maintenance and support staff that you see every day and get to know.

It wasn't just rehearsed hotel friendly, but a hometown style of hospitality that made the staff stand out from other hotels within the same Marriott family of brands (not just the TSP brand)...but all the other brands as well!

Hotels in Lexington, KY (as well as top-tier venues like Disney World) would do well with taking lessons on true hospitality and attention to detail from the folks here!

The quality of the complementary breakfast, the complementary laundry equipment (yes...it's true...EXTRA POINTS HERE), the bright and clean facilities...topped off with that staff...yup, I already miss that!

During our stay some guests not part of our group decided to leave their trash outside the immaculate hallways outside their rooms. I noticed an earlier review here that appears to have made it *appear* that the staff may have allowed this condition to manifest through some kind of neglect on the part of housekeeping.

That couldn't be further from the truth. How you say? Well, turns out that a few other guests there at the same time, may have been used to doing this type of thing. I can speak to this as someone who was there.

The housekeeping manager is top-notch, as I noted during my interactions and observance of how she carries out the mission.

Hotel management acted quickly to address the temporary trash issue in a kind, firm, and yet professional way with those responsible. Have not seen such a quick response from any hotel management at other deluxe hotels. Very impressed by the professional memo put out to all about this. I would want THAT manager working for my interests!

A neat trick I would prefer is be able to take the staff from this hotel with me onto future lodging venues!

Spent one night here - the rooms were clean and tidy. The TVs were modern and had on-demand streaming options. The breakfast was also good - with the typical assortment of food items.

I ended up here after initially booking at a other hotel where I had a negative experience before I could even get checked in. I got in late after having to drive an extra 40 minutes to get to this hotel after the previous one didn't work out. It was worth the drive! I let them know I was traveling with my pups and they made sure to give me a room right next to a door with outdoor access so we could go outside to go potty! The whole property is very clean and the room was beautiful and had a kitchenette and I wasn't even charged extra for it. Highly recommend!

Seems very new so very clean. Suites were great! Very spacious. Breakfast included had a nice variety. Everything in general was great.

Went on a work trip and stayed for a month it was great. The front desk people are so nice and welcoming and when they clean the rooms they leave nice little notes that are so sweet. I would stay here every chance I got. This place is amazing. It got a pool and fitteness area open 24 hours and it's close to stores and restaurants everything you would need within a 10 min drive. And the laundry is free to use. And you can buy detergent and dryer sheets at the front desk if needed.

Highly recommended. Clean rooms and Amazing staff. This is a new hotel with a nice patio area. I always stay here when I visit my teens college. Great location, hot breakfast, nice 24/7 pool and fitness room. Also there is a nearby cafe and restaurant. Just don’t speed on the nearby highway lol.

This place was fantastic. Very nice rooms. Up to date fixtures. Brand new carpet. Saw one of the rooms when family stayed here from out of town. They spared no expense on this hotel!!!! The room I saw was more like a condo to say the least. Outstanding!!!!

Our family had a great stay here (family of 4 with kids ages 8 and 10). Room was spacious with kitchenette, breakfast was delicious, and everyone was friendly. It was hard to find a hotel in the area that was within our budget and had great reviews. Very glad we found this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend.

I work at a hotel that is a part Marriott. I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They asked us what floor we would like and let me know everything about what the hotel offers. The lobby and breakfast area was very spacious and modern looking. The lobby also has a reading area. I didn't get to see the pool but its open 24 hours. Our room was very nice. I liked that it came with a door to the bedroom so other people could stay up in the other area. The bathroom has a big modern shower. Very nice.

I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay in Ironton. Every time I come home, I’ve stayed at at a different place. This my first time here and by far my best experience yet! The last time I came to town they were just starting the building process. I was in for a major shock when I got off the exit. I planned on 4 nights but stayed 8. My daughter and I felt completely comfortable and didn’t want to leave. I recommend a room on the top level. The view facing the town is quite nice! The staff is the most polite group of people I’ve ever seen working in a hotel. They all seemed to connect well and never hesitated to smile or call me by my name. It was fantastic! I will be staying again!

This was an amazing motel, worth every penny. Therooms were very clean, breakfast was really good and location was super convenient.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff- so accommodating. No problems what's so ever. They even printed out coupons for Camden Park for us. Indoor pool was perfect size. My son enjoyed the gym. Rooms were spacious & loved the kitchenette. Would definitely stay here again

This is our FAVORITE hotel to stay at with the kids when we are in town visiting with family. It’s super clean, I love the rooms because it has a nice full kitchen. The beds and pillows are VERY comfy and the bathrooms are pretty spacious. Also, Great customer service from Bruce. He was very kind and always helped us with whatever we needed. He’s the best! I just stayed here over the weekend with my fiancé Cory German

Had a great time there. Rooms were bigger than average and very clean.

Great place to stay. We had a large family gathering for a wedding. There was a picnic area for us to use...gas grill, the hotel supplied utensils for us to use plus all the condiments and plates, forks, napkins, etc. The rim are awesome.. Small kitchenettes with plates cups, sliver, a cook top and a mid size refrigerator and a dishwasher. The shower stalls are unique and very nice. Like I said, a great place to stay

Very nice and clean room and a friendly staff. The beds just make you want to sleep and stay in them all day.
