Paula Hayden, RCPC President stated, “River City Pickleball Club is excited and proud, through its collaboration with the City of Owensboro, to bring the first outdoor pickleball courts to our community. This facility at York Park will allow our club to bring to all in our area four state-of-the-art courts dedicated to the fastest growing sport in the USA.” She continued stating, “Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis which can be played by two or four players with solid paddles using a perforated polymer ball. We would like to thank all of our members who contributed to this project, Facility Sponsors: Edward Jones, Tycen Brock, Financial Advisor; and Court Sponsors: Gordon, Goetz, Johnson, Caldwell, PSC; Independence Bank; Ray and Rese James and the Hayden Agency, Allstate Insurance.”

A sweet little park in the heart of a quiet neighborhood. It has swings, jungle gym, tennis court and basketball. It also has disability swing. It's a great place for the family.

Little hidden park but has all the necessities and my kids enjoyed it. Not too crowded like smothers or legion

Very nice park,was playing with my son, some of the pickel ball player came and invited my son and showed him the rules and played a with him.

Great basketball time there. Small park to take little ones too. Never crowded.

A small family park, complete with swings and tennis courts. The park is a local Neighborhood park and the second park in the Shifley-York Neighborhood Alliance area. It was recently refitted with LED streetlights courtesy of OMU.
